Let this letter be your personal invitation to the 33rd Annual Doug Booth Family Angus Performance Bull Sale on January 27, 2025 at 1:00pm at Torrington Livestock Markets in Torrington, WY. We are excited to offer this set of bulls because of their ability to help produce the highest value calves that ranchers have sold to date. As we look to a new year and put the challenging 2024 behind us, let’s keep moving ahead and make the best out of all opportunities. 2024 gave us one of the wildest rides we have seen in years from the markets, no moisture, then above average temperatures, and now a hot, dry fall and early winter.
There are 80 head of yearling bulls in this offering and certainly a few of them that we feel are ‘herd bull’ caliber for registered operations. Throughout the offering, you will find different pedigrees that are selected to offer moderate birth and high performing end product merit, along with the ability to produce problem free cattle in many different conditions. Again, we sent all of the bulls to Laramie, WY to be fed and then PAP tested by Dr Tim Holt. This is one more way we are trying to produce bulls that will perform in every area of the beef industry. Having moved the bulls twice and with the dry conditions we had during summer and fall, the bulls are doing very well and will be ready for your program. We’re certain that this is the most complete and uniform set of bulls we have ever offered. Study their EPDs and you will see that they are very complete from birth to yearling, maternally and going on to carcass traits.
The sale consists of a good percent of bulls suited for virgin heifers, and a powerful set of bulls selected for use on your cows. There are also SimAngus, High Maine bulls in the sale that are extremely good in their own right if you are looking for a little more hybrid vigor. All bulls are fed here at the ranch. Their growing ration consists of a mixture of ground hay, oat hay, ground straw, silage, cracked corn, and Vita Ferm mineral. After the sale, closer to delivery time, the bulls will be semen collected and then either delivered or ready for you to pick up when you are in the area. As we get prepared for this sale, we have DNA tested the Angus bulls using the Angus GS test. By doing this, all EPDs are enhanced to offer more accurately measured genetics and avoid some risk for you to use these bulls on virgin heifers. We are continuing with the sale at the end of January so that it comes at a time when very few people will be calving.
One point I would like to bring to your attention is how the great DB Iconic G95 calves are doing here and ALL across the United States. He is a must use bull in the Angus breed because of his EPD package and phenotype. Iconic calves are the high sellers in every sale they are in. Look some of them up sale day.
As we enter into the next few years in the protein production industry, we will have a chance to sell calves as high or even higher then we have ever sold them before. It looks to be a great future in the beef industry. Keep your fingers crossed and pray for moisture over the spring and summer. Again this year, we are broadcasting the sale on DVAUCTION.COM. HEALTH Bulls will sell with proper health papers for interstate shipment. All bulls were vaccinated at branding with Ultrabac 7 (7 Way), Bovishield Gold 5 (IBR-BVDPI3-BRSV), and One Shot (Pasteurella). Booster vaccinations two weeks prior to weaning were the same as the above plus Haemophilus sominus. Poured with Dectomax in fall. A Haemophilus booster was given mid-November. They were also given 2 rounds of foot-rot vaccine.
Sale starts at 1 PM MST - Complimentary lunch at noon HHH Bull is recommended Highly for use on heifers to sire light birth weight calves. HH Bull is designated to work on heifers that are larger framed with more management. H Bull is recommended Highly for use on all cows.

WINTERING Booth Family Angus will winter bulls free until April 1, 2025, but at buyer’s risk. Buyer is encouraged to insure their bulls. Buyer can be responsible for delivery costs on wintered bulls.
DELIVERY Free delivery on all bulls up to 300 miles to a central meeting point. Delivery beyond 300 miles at cost. If you haul your purchases sale day we will deduct $50.00 per bull per buyer.
TERMS OF SALE All cattle are to be settled for sale day unless prior arrangements have been made. The cattle sell under the standard terms and conditions as recommended by the American Angus Association.
SIGHT UNSEEN GUARANTEE
If you are unable to attend the sale you may call or send bids to any of the representatives, auctioneer or owners. We guarantee that you will like the bulls or you don’t own them.
RETAINED INTEREST We are retaining a 1/3 semen interest or revenue interest on all bulls selling, unless announced differently from the auction block.
GUARANTEE All bulls in this sale are guaranteed to be breeders. If deemed not a breeder, the buyer will be able to exchange the boughten bull for a bull of similar value. If a satisfactory replacement is not available the buyer will be given credit minus salvage (minimum $2,500.00) that is to be used within one year of sale. If the bull or bulls are not able to perform due to human error, this guarantee is null and void. All claims must be done before September 1, 2025.
