The year started with drought, then came an abundance of moisture that blessed us with ample grass and hay and ended with the life changing Storm Atlas. It’s great to see in times like this how everyone pitches together and supports those in need. As you take the time to evaluate this years offering of bulls you will find this to be one of the best sets we have offered for sale. These bulls will add performance, length, thickness, carcass qualities and maternal strengths to your herd. The goal for our operation is to produce cattle that will help the commercial cattle industry be as economical and profitable as possible. All bulls selling are tested free of all the recent genetic conditions in Angus cattle, or have no pedigree risk. As an added feature we GeneSeek GG-HD profiled several bulls. The data will be available prior to the sale. If you are looking for some bulls to cover a lot of heifers the Two Year Old bulls should fit the bill, almost all of them are extreme calving ease prospects. They are just the younger age bulls from last year and have never been offered for sale. They are all virgin and all passed a semen test as yearlings and will be tested again this spring. Delivery, keep and guarantee is the same as the yearlings. We will keep the bulls free of charge and at our risk until you need them, semen test and give them their spring shots and deliver them to your ranch. Herd Health

We weaned the bulls on September 12th with ground hay, 2 lbs. of cracked corn and distillers grain. The bulls were transitioned over to a mixed ration of earlage, distillers grain, QLF, silage and ground hay where we targeted a 3lb/day gain. The bulls were slowly stepped up to a 46 mg cal. ration which consisted of 12 lbs. earlage, 2 1/2 lbs. distillers grain, 1/2 lb. QLF and 16 lbs. ground hay and silage. We like to keep the bulls on a high roughage diet and grow them out to ensure sound feet, legs and longevity of the bulls. The bulls were weaned on September 27th. They were started on Land O Lakes Performance Gest R30 and free choice hay. They were slowly worked up to their full ration by the 1st of January. The bulls are growed up, not fed up and are fed in a 10 acre lot for exercise and development. We bucket feed the bulls twice a day, so we walk through them everyday. The bulls are handled horseback and on foot.
