TERMS & CONDITIONS

BIDDING: Each animal on which there are two bids will be sold to the highest bidder.

TERMS: Terms of the sale are cash. Checks are accepted and must be made payable to Eggleston Charolais.

DISPUTES: The auctioneer will settle any bid disputes by declaring all off and reselling the animal in question.

HANDLING: All animals will have health certificates. Those not Bangs vaccinated will be tested. All animals will be in good health and examined by our vet. A vet will be available sale day.

BREEDER’S GUARANTEE: All animals sold are guaranteed breeders by the owner. Any animal that has not proven itself a breeder within six months after date of sale, if in healthy condition, may be returned to seller at the buyer’s expense. Should the animal fail to prove a breeder, the seller - at his option, may either replace the animal with another of equal quality in full settlement and satisfaction of all claims or give credit for the next year’s sale at Christensen Charolais Ranch’s sale. All complaints regarding breeding difficulties must be reported in writing to the seller within the time limit as specified above and in good condition. All cattle are registered or recorded in the American International Charolais Association and proper certificates will be furnished. Transfer of ownership will be completed by the seller.

It always amazes me how different it is from one year to the next. It’s been a very enjoyable winter and it’s reassuring to know that we went into the winter with plenty of moisture. The cattle market has been on fire! I’ve enjoyed watching many of our customer’s calves bringing tremendous prices for extra pay weight.

We are very excited to offer this impressive set of bulls to you for our final sale.

We have continued to do genomic testing of every calf at weaning time to help us deliver you a better product. We believe genomic testing our cattle will help all of us identify the traits we are looking for with more accuracy and confidence.

TSI EXPLANATION

Terminal Sire Index (TSI) The AICA Terminal Sire Index (TSI) is a formal method of combining Expected Progeny Differences (BWT, WWT, YWT, REA, HCW, MARB and FAT)-into one single value on which to base selection decisions. The TSI uses estimates of the genetic relationships between traits with an economic default value based on three year rolling USDA data.

The TSI represents a dollar index per terminal progeny produced for a bull in the AICA database, ranking them for profit potential. This dollar index is to be interpreted much like single trait EPD. For example, if Sire A’s index is $191.66 and Sire B’s index is $200.00, then we would expect Sire B’s offspring to average $8.34 more net return than Sire A’s offspring.
