Herd Health: Herd health is excellent. All cattle have been vaccinated and boosted with modified live IBR, BVD-PI3, BRSV and 7-way Heifers have also been vaccinated for Lepto 5 and Vibrio. They have also been treated with dewormer. All cattle have tested negative for BVD-PI. All bulls have passed a BSE and semen evaluation.
Hauling Rebate: Bring your trailer to the sale and receive a $100 rebate per bull. Any bull(s) destined for a state that requires a Trich test to enter will be tested, at our expense, on March 24th, but will not be able to leave sale day. You may bring your trailer back within 7 days of the test results to receive your haul rebate. There is no trucking rebate on the heifers.
Delivery: We offer free delivery on bull purchases for the first 700 miles and free delivery anywhere in the continental U.S. FOR TOTAL BULL PURCHASES OVER $30,000. Delivery for purchases under $30,000 but over 700 miles will be at cost for only those miles over 700, prorated among bulls still on the load. Please provide a facility where we may unload, sort, and reload. If unable to, please make an arrangement with a neighbor, salebarn, etc. We make every effort to get your bulls as close as possible, usually right to your place. However, because some deliveries are made with a 53’ ground load or pot belly trailer, we may consolidate deliveries to one location in the general area. On some long distance deliveries, we may ask you to meet our truck to lessen the time animals are in transit. Please have other cattle near unloading area so bulls are not alone. All deliveries and injuries are at buyer’s risk unless the optional Bull Warranty has been purchased. Heifers are FOB Strong City, KS, but we can help arrange delivery at a reasonable cost.
Free care: In lieu of free trucking, buyers may leave bulls in our care, at buyer’s risk, until May 1, 2025 at no charge.
Insurance: If you want insurance please talk to your agent, or see page 49 for our Bull Warranty.
Parent Validation and Genomic Enhancement have been completed on all Registered cattle in this sale.

Sale will follow catalog order. The auction will move right along and should be done within a couple of hours.
Retained Semen Interest We are selling an undivided half interest, full possession, and full salvage value in these bulls. This is so we can use some of the bulls in herd and reserve the right to collect and market semen on these bulls. Collection will be during the off season, at our expense, and the buyer’s convenience.

18-month-old Fall Bulls
In our quest to provide you with bulls for years of trouble-free service, these Fall born bulls are developed slowly, with lots of time out in a grazing environment. After the traditional 205-day weight was taken in early April, the bulls were turned out with their mothers on 2600 acres of native tallgrass range on the neighboring Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve. Weaning was delayed until about 10 months of age. The bulls were then placed on Grow-Safe bunks, eating a high roughage diet, to measure the individual feed efficiency of each bull. Following that the bulls were turned out in our rugged rock quarry traps where they learn to travel over rough, rocky terrain while developing muscle and bone. What is the advantage for you? You invest in fit athletic, hard footed bulls that know how to forage and travel – bulls that will not melt away and have the libido to go out and service lots of cows for years to come. Yes, a pampered feedlot bull will have a higher yearling weight. If you are concerned about the growth potential of these cattle, just ask. We can share years of closeout results from our cattle fed at Hy-Plains Feedyard.

Feeding Spring Born bulls offered as yearlings is a delicate balance. We have to feed them hard enough to manifest differences in growth and carcass traits but not so much as to make bulls fat and unfit. That said, our Spring yearling development ration is extremely high roughage, including only 35% concentrates (whole corn and DDG). As with the Fall born bulls, these Spring yearlings are allowed to roam in large traps, getting plenty of exercise to get into condition to handle large groups of females without falling apart.

These heifers were AI bred on November 29-30 to calving ease Mushrush sires and then run right with our registered heifers, exposed natural service for 55 days to K065 (Reg#4643361), K607 (Reg#4751583), K517 (Reg#4751535), and H559 (Reg#4751685). The AI bred heifers will calve around September 1, 2025 with the natural service heifers starting about September 20, 2025. All heifers are bang vaccinated, BVD-PI negative and current on all vaccinations.
A supplement sheet will be posted on our website (www.mushrushranches.com) with lot details and expected calving dates after preg check.
We are unable to offer free delivery on heifers but will work with the buyers to get them delivered at the least possible cost.

If you would like to add coverage for injury or death of your bull, you may purchase the optional Mushrush Ranches warranty. We would like to emphasize that this is not insurance (like that purchased through a broker), rather an additional service offered to our customers.
• Coverage is good for a period of 5 months following purchase.
• Cost is 5% of the purchase price paid at settlement.
• Details and limitations available at checkout.
• In the event your bull is permanently injured or dies, you receive credit towards the purchase of another bull in the amount of the original purchase price minus any salvage.
Example: You purchase a bull for $4000 at the March 21, 2025 sale and buy the warranty for $200. He gets injured on May 31st. You sell him and get a credit for $4000 minus what he brought when you sold him. If he died it would have been $4000 credit towards your replacement bull purchase.

We lead off the 2025 “U-Pick-Em” heifers with a pair of half sisters by Ultra-Kool 86H, who has earned the reputation in our program for fixing feet and making exceptional females that come in a moderate framed, low maintenance package. As you can see, we aren’t going to make these choices easy, and this leadoff pair of heifers is one where either heifer is the right choice depending upon the buyer’s selection management and marketing strategies. Their dams are opposite ends of the Mushrush Ranches Lot 301A comes from a 12-year-old veteran who is still producing lead off caliber heifers while Lot 302B is out of a first calf heifer that represented herself well...weaning her first daughter at a 109 weaning ratio. We just endured the most brutal blizzard and winter storm in several years. This coincided with the due date of the Mushrush sired heifers that were AI bred. Time and time again during the 7 days of brutal sub zero temperatures, blinding snow and wind, we witnessed these first calf heifers do their job. They chose protected areas to have their calves and hunkered down with them for several days denying themselves feed and water even though it was plentiful and available. It was an incredible thing to see. The calves sired by Dorado have shown us again that their easy delivery and superior vigor at birth gives them the best chance to survive.
In today’s cattle industry where hype, numbers and flashy print are used to convince ranchers to invest in genetics, there is no number that indicates durability or the will to survive. After riding out this storm with these heifers and their calves we’re even bigger believers in their natural maternal intelligence.

Bidding: Each animal on which there are two or more bids will be sold to the highest bidder. Announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalog.
Terms: Terms of the sale are cash unless prior credit arrangements have been made with the sellers.
Purchasers Risk: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Care will be provided by the seller free for 48 hours for those hauling their own.
Trucking: Trucking will be provided at purchasers risk for free on bull purchases for the first 700 miles, nationwide for purchases over $30,000, or free care until May 1. See page 3 for details.
Certificate of Registry: A certificate of registry and transfer will be furnished for each animal sold as a registered animal, after settlement has been made.
Health: All cattle will have official health certificates to allow shipment anywhere in the U.S.
Breeders guarantee: All bulls sold are guaranteed for fertility, structural soundness and disposition for a period of six months following the sale. Each bull has passed a breeding soundness exam including semen test. Any bull showing difficulties in one of these areas, and if in healthy condition, may be returned to the site of the sale at buyers expense. The seller, at his option, may either refund the purchase price to the buyer or provide credit towards purchase of a replacement animal. All claims regarding breeding difficulties must be accompanied by a letter from a licensed veterinarian to that effect, such statement also indicating that the difficulty is not the result of injury or illness following the delivery. Buyers wishing for protection against injury or death of their bull/s may purchase the optional Bull Warranty, an explanation of which is on page 49.
Liability: Every precaution will be taken for the safety and comfort of those who attend the auction. All persons who attend the sale do so at their own risk, and the owner, auctioneer, clerks, and other employees assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents which may occur.
Genetic Defects: We have examined all pedigrees and performed DNA testing on individuals or pedigrees deemed susceptible to possessing a known genetic defect. We fully guarantee all animals in this sale to be free of any genetic defect monitored by the Red Angus Association of American on the date of the sale. If the buyer can prove otherwise with a parent verified DNA test, we will replace the animal in question in accordance with our Breeders guarantee.
Contract: The above terms and conditions shall constitute a contract between the buyer and seller of each animal sold.
