Welcome to our annual bull and female sale. We are coming off a summer in which we had more rain then we seen the previous 2 years. This allowed the cows and calves to flourish on lush green grass this summer. We are proud of what our cows have done with this set of calves. You will find that all the bulls and heifers, excluding the pen of 5 heifers, are all out of top AI sires.
We think this could be one of the most consistent set of bulls we have raised here at Sonderup Angus. We are excited to offer bulls from LAR Man in Black, SAV Magnum, Schefelbeing Gable, Poss Pendleton, & Sitz Resilient. All the bulls are backed by great cows. A good bull has to start off with a good performing mama cow. Maternal traits are important to us, but if you look at the bulls performance you can see that the weaning weights are some of the best we have ever had. Consistency is something you will see in these bulls from top to bottom. We feel these bulls will go out and perform and improve your herd.
The heifers in the sale come from our top cows in the herd. If you’re looking for registered heifers to add to your herd, give them a hard look. They are out of some of the top A.I. Sires in the country.
A big Thank You goes out to Fred Shenk, who has been with us for 53 years and counting and Brett Ruzicka. We would like to thank our valued customers for their past support. We look forward to working with our past and new customers in the next year. Please feel free to call us or stop by and see the bulls and come look at the cows behind the bulls and heifers.
Please join us for an open house daily Saturday February 22th to sale day February 25th. We will have the bulls and heifers on display daily. The sale will take place at the Nance County Fairgrounds in Fullerton at 7 PM on Tuesday February 27th. Bring the family for supper prior to the sale.
Sincerely,
Lori & Ashley Wagner
