Welcome!
Welcome to Jordan Cattle Co.’s first annual Production Sale. We are very excited about this offering and what the future holds for this group. While we bring you 30 of our own bulls, most of which are SimAngus, we have also teamed up with our good friends the Bullerman’s of Adrian, MN to expand the offering with some additional Registered Angus genetics. The Bullerman Family has put a lot of faith in us to develop some of their bulls and represent their program alongside ours. We believe there is quality from top to bottom in this offering and you won’t be disappointed.
We are blessed to be in a very good position within the industry. The last 2 years of good markets have helped heal the wounds from years of drought and lower prices. Given the cow herd inventory, feedlot placements, and lower than average heifer retention, it looks like more good is in store for the cattle markets. The outlook is bright!
Our family’s ranching heritage has ventured into its 6th generation and is still holding strong. The desire to care for the land, and what it provides, grows as the years pass. It’s a tough life, but rewarding and honest. Our roots are in the commercial cow/calf sector, like many of you, we fully understand how important this investment is to your operation’s success. Bulls that are able to go to work, last several years, and produce vigorous, well-doing offspring are essential to a robust operation. With this in mind, we develop these bulls much differently than most.
Our bulls are developed in a 200 acre pasture, getting plenty of exercise, and are fed to express their genetic potential without being over conditioned. We put a very high priority on structural soundness and integrity, including a good set of feet and legs. Bulls that are grown, not fattened, will stand the true test. Our program is straightforward. We focus on utilizing sires that will produce a good set of bulls whose calves will weigh up, as well as quality replacement females.
The females are expected to do their part as well. Good uddered females that calve unassisted and wean big calves are the most productive and thus the most profitable. This is where the SimAngus female makes her mark. The heterosis and complementarity of the two breeds come together to produce a superior female that can thrive in many environments. She excels in reproductive efficiency and pounds weaned per cow exposed, two main factors that dictate drive profitability.
Thank you for considering our program to fulfill your breeding season needs. We appreciate the time you spend to make this decision and are here to help in any way. Please reach out with any questions regarding the bulls, the sale, or the program, we’d be happy to hear from you.
God Bless and Have a Great Year!

Today’s industry pays big for heavy fat steers, but your pocketbook demands smaller cows. What to do?
The answer is clear, dependable data and the courage to bypass traditional straightbreeding.
Simmental-influenced cows are an average 74 lb. lighter at maturity than Angus-sired counterparts.a
Meanwhile, packers pay $20 to $34 more for SimAngusTM and Simmental-sired steers than English-sired calves.b
Finally, raise efficient cows and high-performance calves. The proof is in the data – and the cash.
