The Diamond Lazy J Ranch would like to welcome you to our annual bull sale. What a great time to be in the cattle business. The industry is experiencing record high cattle prices, and we believe we have a group of bulls that will allow you to maximize your profits in the coming years.
Our bulls are developed using the resources of the Sandhills and our grass and hay program is designed to maintain the body condition of the bulls during and after the breeding season. Buyers continue to comment on the great disposition of the bulls, the performance of the calves, and the maternal traits of their replacement heifers. This combination not only increases the longevity of the bulls and cows in your herd, but also the profitability of your ranch. This set of bulls will allow you to increase your bottom line.
Family has always been a big part of the Diamond Lazy J Ranch and continues to be one of our goals. The third generation is now beginning to play an active role in the ranch. There is noth-ing better than having a family day of working with cattle while instilling the core values of hard work, responsibility, and family. That’s what we call “Family Ranching at Its Finest”.
As always, we would love to have you stop by to look at cattle or just for a visit. The coffee is always on, and we would love to have you share a meal with us.
We hope to see you on the seats at Valentine Livestock on January 23, 2025.
Sincerely,
The Nollette’s

Welcome Cattleman
We hope 2024 treated you well! It is our pleasure to welcome you to the annual Barnes Angus Bull Sale. This has been one of the driest years we have had in a long time with calf weights being lighter than everyone expected with it being so dry the only saving grace was the cattle market stayed strong and looks very promising for the next couple years.
The Barnes Angus Ranch is a 4th generation commercial cow calf operation. Most of the Registered cows trace back to one of the biggest named seedstock operations in the country, Stevenson Angus. Our program from the start has always focused on producing the best bulls for the commercial cattleman. With heavy culling to focus on the best maternal traits in our herd, as my Grandpa Garth used to say if you have good cows the rest will follow suit.
I am truly excited to bring one of the best sets of 2 year old bulls I have ever offered. Every bull in this offering is a Virgin coming 2 year old bull. These bulls are slow grown for longevity and will last in any conditions. During the year, these bulls are not pampered and need to prove themselves. The bulls were summered in a 400 acre pasture and had nothing but grass and a complete salt and mineral program this summer. Then around November they were hauled back to the ranch headquarters from November to sale time. These bulls are put on a growing ration to get them ready for sale day.
Everyone is welcome to come view the bulls anytime prior to the sale at the ranch. We hope to see you all sale day. This has truly been a pleasure being your genetic supplier.
Thank you for considering our program and this year’s sale offering!
