We would like to invite you to our 5th annual production sale, Sunday March 23rd, 2025 at 2PM at the Dahlke Farm in Bagley, MN. We think you’ll find this years group to be as solid as we have ever offered. The bulls are sound, honest and developed to bring profitability to their new owners. Lots 1-16 are all purebred red angus, 17-23 are purebred angus & 24-29 are black red carriers. As we have in the past, we have a select group of bred registered females. Newly added this year we are offering a selection of registered open heifers as well. There will also be a group of 45 commercial bred heifers selling for those looking to build back their cow herd numbers.
We encourage everybody to come check out the sale cattle and the cowherd on sale day or prior. We sold our cattle private treaty for many years and have always enjoyed talking cattle with other cattle producers while discussing their own specific goals & needs.
We continue to utilize top A.I bulls, some of which have been sold right here on this sale over the past few years, along with a continued investment in our embryo transfer program. We routinely flush the top 5% of our cow herd while putting those resulting embryos in the bottom end purebred and commercial cows. Although this is quite the added cost, we feel it is money well spent as this helps propel our program forward in an expedited, more consistent manor. By using bulls like Rockefeller, Outcome & Rancher who are all A.I studs that we produced, we know the generations behind them and know that they work in our Northern Minnesota enviroment. This tends to take some of the guess work out of the equation and in return provides a better end product for us and our customers.
We like our cattle sound at the ground, correct in their overall structure, with above average growth and a disposition that allows sensible working ability. Fertility is still king & a top priority here. We feel a frame score of 5.5 to 6.0 with good fleshing ability helps aid the cows ability to breed up in a timely fashion. As far as foot quality, we prefer a hard black foot, with adequate heel depth and claws free of curl that point true. Please inspect the foot quality of these bulls on sale day as I’m confident you’ll be pleased with the overall quality. If you are unable to attend, dont hesitate to reach out to any of our sale staff and have them take a look for you.
Once again, we have partnered with Top Dollar Angus to identify the bulls that qualify as being in the top 25% of the breed for growth and carcass qualities. These bull will sire feeder calves that command a premium price on sale day, which has been validated by our customers that have taken advantage of this program. Please reach out to us if you would like to know more about getting qualified with Top Dollar Angus.
The cattle will be on display Sunday, March 23rd, and you will be able to bid in person, on the phone or online at DVAuction.com. We offer free delivery in Minnesota and surrounding states along with delivery to states further than that. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
- Bryantt Bolduc, Dahlke Red Angus
This one has caught our eye all summer, fall and winter. Raised by a perfect uddered first calf female that did an outstanding job and bred back to her AI service right away. Livin’ Right is sired by Rockefeller 009H, our high selling and largest sire group last year where the sons were well received and averaged over $9,000 backed by the two highest selling bulls in the 2024 sale. 402M displays a tremendous amount of base width and muscle for a true blue calving ease sire. He is long spined, wide topped with a really cool front end that was passed down from his dam. With a phenotype and EPD profile like he has, we expect 402M to be a favorite of many on sale day.

A pasture favorite from early on this year by all who seen this powerful young sire. He displays the type of base width, depth, masculinity and foot and leg quality that we strive to produce with every mating. Weaning off his dam at over 800 pounds, this wide tracking Jumpstart son didn’t let off the gas as he finished his feed test with a ADG ratio of 119. His now proven dam is a flush mate to the dam of Rockefeller and cranks out a good one every year. Some of you may remember a maternal brother, Uffda 035H that sold 4 years ago to Rivers Edge, and a maternal sister would be my pick of the replacement pen of bred heifers this year. 10F is a power cow that is good uddered, good footed, and has bred up A.I the last four times while earning a 106 MPPA. We are excited for the future of You

A sure shot heifer bull, 412M displays exrtrordinary depth of body in a thick, easy fleshing, moderate made package. Maternally he comes from the Flo Marie cow family that has been so popular at Twedt Red Angus, with his great granddam being the Larson Flo Marie 245-369 donor cow. His moderate framed, excellent uddered dam bred back to her A.I service while raising this brute which was a sight to see as he stood next to her this fall just prior to weaning. When you scan his EPD profile you will recognize many of his traits to be in the top of the breed as he has 13 EPD’s or indeces that rank in the top 10% of the breed. From calving ease to growth, maternal traits and carcass qualitys, this bull ranks among the very best.

A high libido sire as well, Lot 12 lays down a EPD spread profile that ranks among the best as he goes from top 12% Calving ease to top 18% yearling weight. A true curve bender.
If you’re looking for a bull with some top end gas and horsepower then this is your bull. 430M is a long bodied smooth fronted bull that is sure to sire easy calving progeny. Sired by the time tested and proven maternal sire, Koupal Advance 28, a bull that was purchased by Genex back in 2013. After seeing numerous daughters sired by him, I knew I wanted to plug him into our program. At the time, I believe Ellingson Angus was flushing 50 cows and 28 of those cows were sired by Advance 28. Further validating, he ranks high for the new Functional Longevity and Teat and Udder EPD. We purchased the young dam to this lot from Flying W Ranch two years ago and is one we are definetly keeping an eye on as she continues to prove herself. We thought so much of her that we went back and bought her sister last spring as well.

One of my favorites here, Sired by our $26,000 Herdsire, Ellingson Elite 2123. 458M, although younger than most bulls in the sale, packs as much punch as any. Long spined, deep bodied with excellent feet. Weaning off at 742 pounds with an average daily gain ratio of 116, this guy really pushes the needle forward in terms of growth and gainability. His mother cranks out a good one every year and has sure earned her keep. Use lot 19 to add payweight and overall profitability to your calf crop. Pure power in this lot. He’s got it all & he’s had it from a very young age, length, depth, width in a larger outline. Sired by our Shameless 2151K herdsire that came out of the Unger operation in Alberta Canada, where their lead off sire group this year is from a flushmate of 2151k’s, U2Q Big Energy. The dam of this lot is one of my very favorite females, Ms Hilton 82G, a beautiful SAV Raindance sired cow. Her U2 Reckoning sired bull was a favorite last year that was purchased by Twedt Red Angus. Top end fertility and real milky females. One of the top yearling weight bulls coming in at 1293 out of a first calf heifer. Granddam is the high fertility Ms Lovebird 19F cow that raised the lot 4 bull at the front end of the catalog.
Curvebender bull in this Elite sired lot, ranking in the top 15% for calving ease yet top 11% for both weaning and yearling weight while eclipsing the top 1% of the breed for profit-sustainability and gridmaster indeces. We couldn’t be more thrilled with the progeny that we have from his sire, Ellingson Elite 2123. Interesting pedigree as 472M combines the Ellingson Profound lineage with the LD Capitalist 316 line on the bottom side.
This bull may be the last bull in the book, but he was raised by the great 120U cow that is now 17 years old and this is her first calf that was not A.I sired. This cow flat gets it done, year after year while maintaining a modest 1350 pound mature weight. Not too bad for a cow that is less than one year away from being old enough to vote. Cows like 120U are the type that make you money. Use her son to inject profitability into your herd.

Outcome 016H was a crowd favorite at our 2021 production sale & was the 2nd high selling bull to Semex Beef in Canada. We have sampled him the past three years and he is really proving his tremendous value. He sires outstanding phenotype & does it consistently in a dark cherry red hide with a hard jet black foot. Outcome is our largest sire group this spring along with a number of embryos being implanted again this year that we already have froze. Semen available from Semex.

Rockefeller 009H was our high selling bull in 2021, selling for $23,500 to Nathan Jensen & Semex Beef. Built from the ground up, he sires excellent footed cattle with a good angus skull & dark red hide. Due to an untimely injury, semen is virtually impossible to find. We will use our semen almost exclusively on top cows & in ET projects moving forward.
Rancher 214K was our $24,000 high selling bull from 2023, selling to ST Genetics in Navasota, TX. We believe him to be a true, bet the ranch calving ease sire and plan to use him that way. His dam displays an elegant front 1/3, along with excellent udder quality and foot and leg design. She has shown high fertility, breeding first straw A.I her first three years, and is a cow we want to replicate as much as possible. Maternal brothers to Rancher sell along with his service on the bred heifers. Semen Available from ST Genetics.
Elite was our $26,000 selection from the 2023 Ellingson Angus sale. He froze semen right away and then came home and handled a large group of cows all while holding his flesh doing it. Sired by Profound 8155 out of the herdbull producing EA Belles Girl 7617. Elite exhibits heavy muscle expression, massive depth of rib, wide pinned, while being fluid in his travel and standing down on a big square made, heavy heeled foot! I knew we needed an Elite herdsire to move our angus herd in the right direction and that is exactly what we got. We are excited and happy to bring you his first group of bulls this sale and have a large group of daughters in the replacment pen. Semen is currently exclusive to Dahlke Red Angus & Ellingson Angus.

Shameless 2151K was our 2023 black-red carrier purchase from the U2 quality seedstock sale in Alberta, Canada. He displays tremendous neck and shoulder design and moves out like a cat on a good hard foot. His first calf crop has not disappointed and we think his sons will be well recieved in this years sale. Dam is a top donor at U2Q.
Easy Decision 4192 was our $18,000 selection at the 2025 Talkington Angus sale. We were in search of a no-nonsense sire that embodies the true meaning of maternal longevtity. 4192 is an easy keeping, deep bodied bull that stands down on a honest foot in a calving ease package. We can’t wait to put this sire to use this spring and are excited to bring you his sons and daughters in a couple of year’s. Owned with Skeeter Creek Ranch.
