Wow! What a year this has been for the cattle industry! Prices are at all-time record highs and while it's hard to predict the future with certainty, all indications show it is likely here to stay for awhile. One thing is for certain – cattle are making us a profit and quality cattle are still topping the market. Buying quality seedstock is even more important than ever – even at these prices.
Welcome to our 26th annual production sale. Thank you for taking time to evaluate this offering. We are always on the hunt for new genetics that can make a positive impact on our program and yours. This sale features two new herd sires that we are really excited about along with some of the best proven genetics available anywhere. We believe in the Red Angus breed and do our best to produce and offer the best genetics available. We stand behind our cattle and provide a guarantee our customers can rely on.
WILDFIRE BULL CREDIT
Our neighboring communities of Ray and Tioga, along with the surrounding area, were hit hard by a massive wildfire this past fall that desroyed buildings, fences, hay, livestock, and even lives. To help producers that were affected by this fire, we are offering a $1000 credit towards the purchase of one bull in this year's sale offering.
We are a family operation. The entire sale offering was raised here on our ranch and managed entirely by the Barenthsen and Bullinger family. The cow herd is and has always been a primary focus. We utilize a “no excuse” approach in our culling process and take a lot of pride in our cow herd. In the summer months, we manage our cow herd on native grass and calves are at their mother’s side without additional supplement. Calves are weaned in the first part of October when shots are given, and weights are taken. We have developed a high roughage ration and aim for a gain of 3.0 lbs./day.
All bulls in the sale are GGP-LD DNA tested, a genomic test that analyzes 100K DNA markers. The results provide high accuracy genetically enhanced EPD’s that are more accurate than traditional parental averages. Ultrasound carcass data for bulls will be available on our website prior to the sale.

Volume Discount:
A 5% volume discount will be given on the purchase of 3 or more bulls.
Feeding:
Bulls will be kept and fed free of charge until April 1.
Delivery:
Free delivery of bulls within a 500 mile radius. Delivery arrangements can be made at least possible cost to the buyer for furthur distance. Heifer delivery is the responsibility of the buyer. We ask that shipping on heifers be made as soon as possible.
Guarantee:
Bulls in the sale are guaranteed to breed. A breeding soundness exam will be conducted prior to delivery. If a bull is proven unable to breed from that exam, buyer will be given a full refund of purchase price, credit on next year’s sale, or a replacement bull of equal quality as acceptable to buyer. If a problem arises with a bull, please notify Barenthsen-Bullinger Red Angus immediatly.
All bulls carry a first breeding season guarantee. A breeding season is defined as the 90 day period following the first turnout of the bull. If a bull is injured permanently and unable to breed cows, we will replace him or give credit in next year’s sale, less salvage of the injured bull.
Heifers are guaranteed open and able to breed.
Health:
All bulls and heifers are in good health and are on the Select Vac program. Bulls will be given a breeding soundness exam by Marshall Hermanson, DVM, and will also receive two doses of Fusogard for foot rot prior to delivery. All heifers are bangs vaccinated. All animals have been poured with Cleanup.

This is the first year for sire Berwald Completely 2056. He was our pick at Berwald’s 2023 sale. We selected Completely 2056 for his outstanding phenotype and especially his perfect foot shape. We are very excited about the potential that Completely 2056 displays and BAR M Integrity 4068 is exactly what we were hoping for. One of the most powerful, complete bulls in the sale. Dam 9207 had been a top-producing cow for us with a 106 MPPA. She has raised all females up to this point. 4155 brings the boom. The herd sires that we bring on board to use in our operation are chosen after mindful consideration and deliberation. We chose to add Berwald Completely 2056 for a few exciting characteristics none of which are better than the maternal side of the equation with mother Berwald Stony 0001, out of PIE Quarterback 789. 4023 is the complete package - attractive, dark red, powerfully designed with calving ease potential to boot.

We are excited to see the future in this Propulsion herd sire prospect.

This mating with PIE Identity 257 really hit the target and we can’t wait to see who ends up with this top prospect.
Final Draft 4153 is one you can pick out on a drive by of the bull pen. He is a very powerful Completely calf out of a productive 9-year-old cow with a 107 MPPA. The stoutness, depth and overall performance in this calf is hard to overlook. He is a structurally well made, sound footed bull that already has the herd bull look.

Not only will you notice his added volume and thickness but his actual data will back up his outstanding EPD profile. He will be one of the top calving ease prospects on offer without sacrificing performance. 4224 has a 115 WR and a 714 lb weaning weight.
4208 is a well-designed Completely son that will add length and dimension to most cowherds. Dam 0268 is a tremendously powerful Mission Statement daughter producing some top-end progeny, including BB Legitimate which sold to the Hansine Ranch in 2023. She has a herd leading 109 MPPA.
We like everything about this guy. His style, presence, thickness, and depth represent everything we appreciate about the Pathfinder sire group. His maternal value along with his longevity are things that will make you money in your cowherd. 4222 is a stout made, thick topped bull that will add performance to most herds.

Dam Hector 7010 produced Lot 1 that sold to Nordlund Stock Farm in our 2024 sale and Lot 1 that sold to Mandan Lake Simmental Ranch in 2023. 4107 certainly has the same look and design of his well-known sire, Berwald Completely 2056.

You will certainly notice this guy in the pen. It’s easy to see his extra volume, thickness, and structural correctness. His sire displays these same traits, and you will appreciate the disposition he exhibits. Dam Horizon 0103 has a 105 MPPA on 4 calves with a 374-day calving interval. We have retained two daughters in herd. 4182 will be one to highlight in your catalog.

4038 puts the pieces together well. You have to appreciate the straight lines and structural correctness in this guy. He has the mass, bone and performance to back it up. This is the first calf out of his young dam, but she comes from a strong maternal line. MGD 9325 has a 105 MPPA.

Completely sons live up to their name - Complete. There's just a lot of good things going on in these calves. Notice the nice smooth pattern, tight shoulder, and depth of body in Lot 18. We really appreciate 4010 for his outstanding phenotype, dark red color, and extra volume and length of body he displays. An added bonus to the Identity 257 sire group is the great maternal value they command. 4010 is in the top 5% HB and 4% STAYABILITY. MGS PIE Blockbuster 935 also adds volume, thickness, and great genetics to this top-notch sire prospect.

Dam 9274 has produced 4 calves with an average actual birthweight of 80 lbs. There is a lot of flexibility in how Lot 22 can be used - you decide!

Notice the even balance of EPD’s with no extremes. He will sire calving ease as well as the performance we have come to expect.
We are pretty proud of this powerhouse Completely son. He's a tank! This is the first calf crop from Completely 2056 and there are only a handful of these calves selling across the country this year. This guy will be one of the best and deserves some attention if you are looking to add some power. Dam 7007 has produced 6 calves to date and has 9 EPD's in top 25% of the breed herself.

This is hands down one of the best Knockin’ Boots sons we have raised. He is deep, stout, and has numbers to burn. So why is this stud not even higher in the sale offering? Because he's a Category B calf at 99.8% Red Angus. No matter how long we continue to breed this tremendous cow family, we will never hit 100%. We'd certainly prefer to round that decimal up, but that's not how it works in the Red Angus breed! And when they come like this, we will take them any day.

Group of 10 Commercial Heifers
We are offering an outstanding group of 10 Red Angus heifers. They are from our registered herd but will be sold without registration papers. These heifers will make some excellent replacements for our commercial breeders.
BB Propulsion 9096 is a bull we raised and sold to ABS for $34,000 in our 2020 sale. He consistently stamps the dark red color and his phenomenal phenotype. He is also known for his excellent leg and foot structure. He is being used with much success in herds all across the country.

Berwald Completely 2056 took many miles and lots of time to find. We purchased him at Berwald’s 2023 sale. He is a very complete bull in terms of his overall structure. He has excellent muscle with high carcass value and stands on a near perfect foot. He is already making a name for himself in the U.S. and Canada. The future looks bright for this young outstanding sire.

PIE Identity 257 was one of the highlights in Pieper’s 2023 sale. He is dark red with lots of style and good muscle. He is very smooth and clean in his design. His females possess flawless udders, have an excellent foot structure and are easy fleshing. He has injured this past year but we have semen stored on him for future use.

We found RREDS Pathfinder F811 in 2019 and decided to partner with ST Genetics. F811 has been an important breeding piece in our operation. He, along with his calves, are long, deep, and very docile. Pathfinder made his way back home this last spring as Rhodes Red Angus purchased him back at 7 years of age.

Cruise Control 2082 was added to our bull battery in 2023. He was chosen for his thickness, depth, and maternally bred pedigree. His dam is Berwald Abigrace 0018, a 789 Daughter, is a signature daughter in the Berwald Red Angus program. Unfortunately, we lost him this past year, so calves will be limited.
