Nagorske Brothers Angus - 2025 Spring Mailer and Lead Generation

Page 1

Welcome

We are excited to be having our sale take place for the second year at the Kimball Livestock Exchange in Kimball South Dakota on February 20, 2025! We certainly appreciate the opportunity provided by the owners of Kimball Livestock to host our live sale at their historic facility.

We are tremendously proud of the bulls selling this year. Our focus has always and will always be on commercial cattle producers. We have built our cow herd with strict selection parameters to capitalize on maternal traits, longevity, performance, fertility, udder quality, and overall prevailing design. P3 Angus is defined by three core values: 1. Power 2. Performance 3. Pedigree. Power is obtained through visual emphasis on genetics with muscle mass, volume, and core width and dimension. Performance comes from emphasis on producing progeny which grow fast and do so with efficiency. Pedigree is derived from our emphasis on utilizing maternal cows which have proven themselves and more importantly continued to prove their genetics in subsequent generations. When making our breeding plans each year, it is pivotal to always improve the genetics at hand. We strongly believe in balancing both phenotypic and genotypic traits. This means utilizing Epds and genomics as tools to help predict genetic merit, but not for sole reliance.… in other words, if a genomic test predicts a trait to improve, we will endorse it only when the raw data and visual phenotype portray it…. The paper values must couple with ideal phenotypic design. At the end of the day, great herd sires come from great cows, and we feel we have built a herd with great validity. In the last 23 years, we have worked diligently to breed the absolute best seed stock we feel fit the guidelines stated above. We have done this aggressively through AI and embryo transfer modalities during our over two-decade existence. Our ET program has continually been an emphasis and will continue to be a centerpiece to proliferate superior genetics through our new ET lab and utilization of fellow cooperator herds.

When you look through the offering, there are a multitude of flush matings from our premier donors. There are both 18-month-old and spring yearling bulls in this year’s sale. These bulls will compliment many programs in dynamic ways as we consider optimal value in both grid and live weight programs. The overriding strength of many of these bulls will come from weaning and yearling growth as confirmed by performance and projected genomic testing in the upper percentiles of the breed.

As we continue to breed for the future, we can assure the things you expect and the input we receive will always be strongly considered. As cattle producers, we are extremely gifted with the opportunity to control the genetics behind our cow herds.

We wish everyone the best of luck in the new year and hope to see you at our sale on February 20th! Please do not hesitate to call at anytime if you have questions. Herd visits are always welcome. It is our goal to align you with genetics that fit your operations. We take integrity serious here, your investment considerations will be treated the same as ours, with respect and honesty!

#S A V RENOWN 3439

S A V BLACKCAP MAY 4593

#S A V IRON MOUNTAIN 8066 NAF PRISCILLA 104

This has been an exciting bull to watch develop and one of the freshest pedigrees offered. Nagorske Priscilla 1006 is one of the youngest donors in our arsenal and on her way to stardom… her picture says it all as a productive daughter of SAV Renew. This breeding piece encapsulates what we are trying to accomplish in terms of balancing phenotype with genotypic merit. He is a bull with tremendous profile and body depth and will work as heifer bull who won’t give up powerful design. From traits relative to our industry, he accomplishes calving ease and growth in the top 15 percentiles of the breed. He compliments this with heifer pregnancy in the top 9% and will hang the ribeye’s while ranking in the top 5% for RE. If you study his index scores, he dynamically achieves $M and $C EPD’s in the top 15% and $W and $ F in the top 10% of the breed. Retaining in-herd semen rights.

NAGORSKE BIG

3076

NORTH FACE 3100

We reluctantly sold a full sister in last year’s sale to Rhodes Red Angus and it’s appeasing when both bulls and heifers hit on a flush. This again exemplifies the tremendous donor behind these bulls and reconciles what they will do in a breeding program. Phenotypically stunning is nothing short of description here, and it helps when multiple link growth parameters in the top 20th percentiles of breed. These guys are beautiful in their body pattern and carry belly dragging depth with stoutness of rump. The bulls will likely go to work in both seedstock and commercial programs.

NAGORSKE PRISCILLA 9033

Dam of Lots 12 and 13

Here are two maternal brothers by our pathfinder donor, Nagorske Priscilla 9033, who continues to produce both high selling bulls and females in our sales throughout existence. Her son, Nagorske Excalibur 3016, was the top selling bull in last year’s sale to John Goeken, semen is offered through Sire Buyer and his full brother sells as lot 13. Although different sires, these bulls will improve foot quality, add frame and produce offspring with added growth and muscle expression. Lot 13 is overall an immense bull with powerful design, added bone and wide chest floor. He portrays great body depth and bold capacity for such a large-framed bull. Lot 12 will bring forth dimension and style phenotypically. He will additionally add growth parameters for weaning weight and yearling in the top 11% and 9% of the breed.

Here is one of the premier flushes out of one of our most coveted donors, NB Priscilla 8001. She displays progeny average weaning ratios of 111 with a 344-day calving interval. She is appreciated for her massive ribcage, dimension through her chest floor and carries ideal udder quality. Her progeny are known best for their growth characteristics and ideal phenotypic design requisite of the cow family. These bulls are substantial in terms of rear end muscle expression and mass. Genomically, they will rank at the top of our herd for weaning and yearling weight as Lot 15 ranks in the top 5% and 3% of the breed. The brothers here will add pay weight to any calf crop.

NAGORSKE EILEEN 5005

This is a bull sired by LVVF Tanker 14 and produced from the pathfinder donor, Nagorske Eileen 9031 (she now has 4 with an average weaning ratio of 108 and calving interval of 353 days). This bull’s maternal brother sold in our 2021 sale to Foxhoven Angus for $15,000. A maternal sister sold in last years sale for $10,000 and the dam continues on as our highest income donor. As a bull to use with confidence on heifers, here is one with immense length of body and overall side profile appeal. Phenotype aside, this could also be one of the more dynamic bulls in terms of multi-trait excellence. He withholds top tier growth performance, carcass and maternal parameters.

It’s not far off to say this could be the most impressive set of flush brothers raised here to date. These again are out of the pathfinder donor, Nagorske Eileen 9031. The bulls here are powerhouses and have substantial thickness and dimension. They are raw power. The eye appeal is real and they have excellent body depth and profile design. Multiple here will perform at the top of the group in terms of gain and it is reconciled with genotypic parameters for weaning and yearling weight in the top percentile of the breed. For example, lot 21 is in the top 3% for weaning weight and top 2 % for Yearling weight. Additionally, to go with the obvious muscle mass, they rank near the top of the breed as well for ribeye area. This is just simply an exciting group to sell.

Lot 26

NAGORSKE MAXXUM

Coming from an embryo purchase is this breeding piece by SAV Magnum and SAV Emblynette 4580. The donor is accomplished as the #1 IMF female in the SAV herd and progeny sales have averaged $13,750. This bull has overall visual appeal and voluminous rib cage. He will work as a heifer bull with curve bending EPD’s from birth to yearling weight. Genomically, he ranks in the top 4% for WW, top 2% for YW and top 20% for ribeye and marbling. This will certainly be a feature on sale day and one with a proven pedigree to work in any program.

NAGORSKE MAN IN BLACK 4014

This bull comes from one of the up-and-coming donors in our program, Nagorske Madame Pride 2019. She stems from our pathfinder donor, NB Madame Pride 8029, and is on her way to becoming a pathfinder herself with 3 weaning ratios of 110 on a calving interval of 350 days. Her udder design is near perfect and she is a donor with tremendous body volume. This bull will serve as an outcross pedigree in many programs, and he is sired by LAR Man In Black. The growth in this individual was appreciated from birth, and he will carry similar phenotypic characteristics requisite of his dam. He compliments his pedigree with strong growth characteristics in the top 5% and 6% for Weaning and Yearling weight EPD’s.

LVVF Tanker 14 is the sire of this bull by one of our premier donors, NAF Priscilla 6004. She has produced 25 progeny through our embryo program with daughters who also serve in the donor program; their progeny are also featured in this sale. He might be one of the better performing bulls in the set and yet deceptive because he is the youngest in the group. We have adored his body depth since pasture and overall stylish profile. He can serve as another heifer bull with strong growth and carcass EPD’s.

Priscilla 8001

NB PRISCILLA 8001 Dam of Lots 30 - 36

Donor

We present you with multiple flushes out of one of our most coveted donors, NB Priscilla 8001. She displays progeny average weaning ratios of 111 with a 344-day calving interval. She portrays a massive ribcage, dimension through her chest floor and carries ideal udder quality. She truly garners attention in the pasture with visitors each year and will sell flushes from three different sires this year.

Lot 30

These full brother bulls by LVVF Tanker will not disappoint and carry similar characteristics as their sire. All will consistently work as heifer bulls. It is difficult sometimes to give up power to achieve calving ease; however, these are the type to uniquely accomplish such an endeavor. They have top end growth EPD’s combined with ideal carcass characteristics. The eye appeal is all there as well. Lot 30 displays extreme growth and carcass merit at the very top of the breed.

NAGORSKE MAN IN BLACK 4065

PROVEN Herd Sire

CG TAHOE 2034

If you are in the market for a sure-fire calving ease bull, this bull would be a great option. This mature bull has served as a cleanup bull for our virgin heifers the last two years. He has been an ideal heifer bull and we have not had to assist any cows or heifers at birth. Having two calf crops sired by him, we have made the decision to move on to new blood and this is the sole reason for selling him. He is a bull with a nice angus head, deep body, and one that moves well.

TEHAMA TAHOE B767 Sire of Lot 48

Priscilla

An opportunity to gain access to one of our elite donors. This mating has been one of the best matings we have raised to date. These are full siblings to lots 5-8, and full siblings to the top-selling heifer in last year’s sale.

Selling one package of four conventional embryos, guaranteeing one, 60-day pregnancy if implanted by a certified embryologist.
