Herd Health:

All bulls and heifers are BVD negative. All cattle have received the following: Alpha 7at birth; at branding they received Nasalgen 3 PMH, Multimin Injectable and Dectomax Injectable Preconditioning the bulls received Vision 7, Vista Once, Dectomax & Multimin Injections and Permectin pour on Herd bulls were poured with Noromectin on Januar y 10th, 2024 and yearling bulls were poured with Noromectin on Februar y 14th, 2024

Wintering & Deliver y:

When Clint passed away, we lost the biggest share of our workforce, consequently we are not be able to winter the bulls following the sale We ask all buyers to take possession of their bulls directly following the sale, and buyers will receive a $100 refund from the total purchase price of their bull(s)

Welcome to our Final Bull Sale!

The cover photo of most bull sale catalogs typically promotes one of the top bulls offered in that sale. The photo on our cover this year honors the man behind the vision that built our program. Clint was a true stockman, through and through with a love for the Sandhills, his way of life and the animals in his care, which became an extension of himself. Many of you know that we lost Clint this past December, so we have dispersed the females from our herd, “our factory ” in January of this year The bulls in this sale represent the final calf crop of the genetics from our program This comes with a great deal of sadness as our lives move into the next chapter We have great confidence these bulls will work well in your herds as their mothers, sisters and heifer mates were very well received on the dispersal day January 30, 2024

Three years ago, we purchased 5 embryos from the Carlson Cattle Co dispersal, a mating of S A V America 8081 crossed on Carlson’s top donor cow CCC Blackbird 1506, a Sitz Upward 307R daughter. We were blessed that all 5 of the embryos implanted successfully and the calves were born in February last year The heifers were going to be the start of a new cow family for us, and the bulls are a bonus offering in this sale Lots 40, 46 and 52 and the two heifer calves were raised by some of our top commercial cows and they did a fabulous job with their embryo calves

The heifer calves topped our dispersal sale in January which proved that we were on the right track with those genetic lines Buyers are going to be very pleased with this mating. Be sure to find these ET bulls carrying the “blue tags” on sale day. We have designated those bulls which we feel will successfully work on heifers. Our “pasture herd bulls” sired some outstanding bulls in this offering When it came time to select bulls to cover our cows & replacement heifers after A I , Clint had a real gift for identifying bulls that would enhance our breeding program and sire heifers and bulls that thrived on Sandhills range in the summer and native hay and cake in the winter Three of our herd sires will also sell in this sale If we can be of any assistance with your bull selections, just give us a call

This year ’s sale will contain some changes from previous years, including the guarantee on bulls purchased and delivery We are covering 50% of the insurance through Martin-Trudeau Livestock Insurance, on all bulls purchased Buyers must decide on sale day if they will pay the other half of the insurance Buyers will retain ALL salvage value of an injured bull. Please check out the insurance flyer on page one in this catalog. This 50% coverage applies to Option 2, All Risk Mortality plus Accidental External Injury – 80% Indemnity.

Clint was the one who handled the bulls the most, following weaning through sale day He figured out the schedule for delivery of all the bulls He confidently managed the bulls with a little help from Suzy Without Clint’s skill and presence, we ask all buyers to take possession of their bulls directly following the sale, and buyers will receive a $100 refund from the total purchase price of their bulls.

We selected Jet Black in the 2021 Lonesome River Ranch Sale. He was a long bodied, thick muscled bull with a great EPD profile Unfortunately he suffered severe frostbite in the 2022-23 winter and this is the only bull from his natural ser vice We did have semen on him and used him extensively on our commercial bred heifers that sold in our Januar y dispersal
