Ressler Land and Cattle - 2025 Spring Sale Catalog

Page 1

Welcome

We are looking forward to hosting you at our 9th Annual Production Sale! Our offering this year includes 50 twoyear-old Red Angus bulls, 2 registered, bred Red Angus heifers, and 3 registered, open Red Angus heifers. We are excited to offer semen packages for C-BAR Crackerjack and Berwald Destiny.

We know that cattle purchase decisions have lasting impacts on your herd and your bottom line; your investment is not just in genetics but in the overall health and vitality of your herd. We look for genetically and phenotypically well-balanced cattle to accomplish that goal. Our twoyear-old bulls are born and developed on grass and fed a high forage, low concentrate diet to develop them into mature cattle with proven performance and resilience that will translate into improved productivity within your herd. Our bulls undergo a rigorous health screening, ensuring that they enter your operation ready to thrive and contribute positively to your breeding program. We strive to have a quality product based on proven genetics so that we can stand behind our breeding soundness guarantee. We know you need a bull to arrive ready to work, and it’s important to us to provide that.

We are excited to offer semen packages for Berwald Destiny 3138 and C-BAR Crackerjack 2037K. Destiny was the lead off bull in the 2024 Berwald Red Angus sale. He was purchased for $135,000, and he is ready to make an impact on the breed. C-BAR Crackerjack was purchased from C-BAR Ranch in their 2023 sale. He was the lead off Collusion son; he combines performance, pedigree, and phenotype.

We hope to see you at our sale, and we are looking forward to partnering with you as you make important decisions for the quality of your herd. We want you to feel confident in buying from RLC. Please do not hesitate to call us with your questions and to discuss your herd and what you’re looking for in your cattle purchases this season. We welcome visitors to our farm any time to see the cattle!

One of our cows had triplet bull calves this spring! They weighed 62, 66, and 75 lbs adding up to a total of 203lbs of calf! All three calves were born unassisted, on pasture, and are still alive today. They were out of our herdsire, C-BAR Crackerjack 2037K.

We are excited to offer some semen packages from two of our most recent herdsire purchases!

Being offered are 5 packages of semen for each bull. Each package contains 10 conventional units. C-Bar Crackerjack was our pick at the C-Bar 2023 Production Sale, and we purchased him for $42,000. His phenotype caught our eye; he maintains a larger frame, a big hip with a ton of stretch, and an attractive herd bull crest. His EPD’s rank towards the top of the breed. This spring, we had 118 Crackerjack calves born, and we were very pleased with the breeding decision we made in purchasing this great herdsire! His conventional semen is stored in Manhattan Kansas at KABSU.

Berwald Destiny 3138 was the high selling bull at the Berwald Red Angus 2024 production sale; we purchased him for $135,000. He caught our eye first because of his superior phenotype and incredible depth of body. He has an outcross pedigree that is coupled with a great set of EPD’s. We had him collected at World West Sire Services in Billing MT this summer and AI bred 140 of our registered cows to him. He was 32 for 34 natural service on the registered heifers that he bred this summer. We took him back to World West after the breeding season where he has collected more conventional semen and semen for global export to CSS-certified countries that is free of burden (FOB) to Ressler Land and Cattle. His first semen sale this fall demanded $907 per straw at the “Bet on Red” online frozen genetics sale in Reno Nevada.

What a great way to start off the bred heifer offering! RLC Maiden 193L has presence with her smooth shoulder and square hip. She goes back to a heifer we picked up at the NILE Sale in Billings, donated by Christensen Red Angus in Montana. We look for RLC Maiden 193L to mature into the same type of cow as her grand dam who boasted a 102 MPPA. Add this maternal power to her paternal grand dam on the top side, the famed Marta 238C cow, and there should be cow power here. She is carrying one of the first pregnancies to our exciting new herdsire Berwald Destiny 3138!
