VAIL VALLEY Year-End Highlights:
In the resort mountain area of Eagle County and the Vail Valley, the residential housing market remains vibrant and healthy. Price increases indicate that as the economy gets stronger, people are more willing to spend extra dollars to purchase the homes they desire, and that suit their lifestyle needs. In 2015, Eagle County saw an especially high volume of activity, due to an increased number of visitors and second home owners in town during winter and summer months, which tend to be popular times for home buying in the resort market.
• Edwards and Homestead’s average price is $548,735 – up 18.1% • Wildridge/Wildwood’s average price is $782,215 – up 16.9% • Arowhead’s average price is $1,937,760 – up 31.0% • Beaver Creek’s average price is $2,067,999 – up 24.6%

The number of single family homes and condos sold rose to 1,267 combined, a 9.9% increase year-over-year, with average price hovering right below $1.1M. Across the board, days on market are dropping (now 151 days on average), and the sales price to list price ratio is up, averaging 94% throughout the Vail Valley. This statistic is evidence of continued competitive, however less frenzied, conditions in the marketplace.
