FOOTHILLS AREA The Foothills Area Micro Market Report (MMR), prepared by LIV Sotheby’s International Realty, compares 2016 Quarter 1 statistics (January through March), to that of 2015, for single family homes and attached dwellings. The Foothills of Denver metro and its surrounding areas are consistently rated as some of the best places to live, work, and raise a family in Colorado. Generally, the foothills are considered the higher terrain between 6,000 and 9,000 feet west of Denver that parallel the Front Range Mountains. The foothills stretch from Roxborough State Park, north, to the west side of Fort Collins. Cities and towns in the foothills region included in this report include Evergreen and Conifer. Highlights from the Foothills area include Lookout Mountain’s average price rising to $738,167, up 26.3% since 2015. Brook Forest’s average price also rose, up 19.5% to $381,000 over 2015. Hiwan Hill’s average price rose 10.1% to $556,475 over 2015, and Genesee’s average price rose 8.9% to $705,333 over 2015. As the result of many positive economic variables living in the Colorado Foothills affords, a continued strong demand in the Foothills is projected into Q2 and beyond.
