SUMMIT COUNTY In the resort mountain communities of Summit County and Breckenridge, the desire for lifestyle-inspired home purchases breeds a continued healthy and balanced real estate market throughout Summit County. The proximity to the famous Colorado Rocky Mountains, (less than two hours from Denver), continues to position Summit County as one of the leading resort community destinations worldwide. The Summit County Micro Market Report (MMR), prepared by LIV Sotheby’s International Realty, compares 2016 Quarter 1 statistics (January through March), to that of 2015, for single family homes and attached dwellings. Number of single family homes and condos sold rose to 351 in 2016, a 4.2% increase over 2015. Across the board, days on market are dropping (now 154 days on average), and the sales price to list price ratio is demonstrating balance at 96.8% throughout Summit County. This statistic is evidence of continued competitive conditions in the marketplace.
