The Idea of Beginning In fact, the reason I did this project was due to the epidemic, and my Achilles tendon ruptured at the time, so I had to stay at home at the time. I was taking a class at david at the time called "Augmented Space, Fashion & Object". So I photographed the building outside the window, day and night at the same location, and tried importing it into 3D software for comparison.
And in the end my thesis chose this project, and I think the big reason is because of the constraints imposed by the epidemic on people. At the beginning of this year, the number of confirmed cases in South Korea soared, and after two and a half years, there is still no improvement. Although some countries are now opening up travel visas one after another, at that time I really doubted whether there would be an end to the epidemic.
So I applied this idea to the Thesis project, which allows people to see different scenery from the "shadow", but I can't go to different countries to shoot footage, so I use the same coordinates but different times instead.
I wanted to use the global real-time surveillance video as the image output content of the final result, and this is more in line with the theme of my research, but due to technical problems and copyright issues, I finally gave up this idea.
