Job Description and Application Process Job Description Summary • Provides leadership and management for the Hospitality program at the Hospitality Management Center (HMC). • Supports the Executive Director in the successful deployment of strategic initiatives at the HMC. • Focuses on providing high-visibility program marketing efforts with high schools, local hotels, resorts, special use venues and selected public focus groups. • Collaborates with the Executive Director to provide leadership and strategic vision to build programs and provide structure in maintaining program accreditation. • Assists the faculty members in the current and future curriculum assessment and development; develops quality curriculum outcome benchmarks. • Establishes partnerships with local and regional four-year institutions to facilitate student transfer agreements, and maintains ties with industry, government and community.


LEADERSHIP • Implements organizational and programmatic structure necessary to accreditation. OPERATIONS • Oversee the establishment of standards and procedures for purchase and use of all program supplies, including perishables. • Leads the development of student internship and employment opportunities. • Ensures curriculum remains relevant and meets industry needs. • Evaluates faculty performance.


Required Qualifications • Master’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business or related field • Demonstrated experience at a department manager or higher level in an area of liberal arts within a college or industry setting • Demonstrated leadership skills • A commitment to one’s own professional development • Ability to work collaboratively with one’s peers in other disciplines, functional units and sister campuses • Creative thinker and problem solver • Experience in supervising faculty and/or staff in daily divisional operations, budget management and program coordination • Demonstrated commitment to student success and to enhancing teaching and learning • Experience working with and sensitivity to the needs of a diverse population • Teaching experience at the college level Please see website: https://careers.tri-c.edu/postings/54921 for additional qualifications
