OUR LIBRARIES ARE OPEN AND READY WHEN YOU ARE

LJMU has two libraries, with one based in each of the City and Mount Pleasant campuses, as well as the Learning Commons in the Student Life Building which is open 24/7 during semester. This means that wherever you are studying at the University, you are never far from a dedicated learning space.

GET INTO THE ZONE

Our libraries offer a variety of environments to suit your study needs, ranging from individual and silent study areas through to open plan zones and group spaces. They combine the best aspects of traditional libraries with everything you’d expect from a modern university: there’s Wi-Fi access throughout plus computers, laptops, books, journals and online resources.

All libraries are fully accessible to all users, offering wheelchair access, hearing loop facilities, height adjustable workstations, and specialised software to support visual or specific learning differences.

In our libraries you can get advice on: n IT support n Library resources n Submitting coursework and assignments n Canvas - LJMU’s virtual learning environment

My biggest challenge has been the assignments and preparing for them. However, through LJMU’s study skills I have found a lot of support. University has changed me massively. I am more independent, organised and resilient, as a student nurse you have to be. In the future I would like to think I will be a cancer specialist nurse. LJMU is giving me the experience and guidance to make this happen.
