Trestles Chiropractic

The ULTIMATE Resource for Structural Correction

Discover Trestles Chiropractic, a premier provider of modern chiropractic care since 2013. Led by Dr. Ryan Anderson and his dedicated team of professionals, their focus extends beyond mere pain relief, with the ultimate goal of seeing patients thrive. Understanding that effective treatment begins with attentive listening, they make it a priority to ascertain the root cause of every ache and pain.

Dr. Ryan emphasizes, "No guesswork here. It's all about the patient. We genuinely want to understand your unique circumstances." Recognizing that life events, traumas, and past injuries can wreak havoc on the body, open communication plays a crucial role in formulating impactful treatments and suggesting realistic lifestyle changes to prevent further pain. After a complimentary consultation, patients can opt for an initial examination, which includes fully digital on-site x-rays. By eliminating the need for visits to imaging centers, Trestles Chiropractic saves patients both time and money, providing test results within minutes. Once the x-rays are reviewed by either Dr. Ryan, Dr. G.,

or Dr. Sydney, hands-on work can safely and effectively begin.

Trestles Chiropractic offers a diverse range of treatments tailored to address various conditions. For spinal adjustments, the doctors employ the diversified technique, utilizing manual pressure to restore proper movement. Patients with conditions like osteoporosis benefit from both traditional and state-of-the-art chiropractic devices which provide lower force techniques. In addition, massage therapy is available for individuals suffering from stress and soft tissue injuries.

Dr. Ryan highlights laser therapy as one of the most effective and cutting-edge options for joint and soft tissue injuries. With a team of three experienced chiropractors, specifically trained to address these conditions, Trestles Chiropractic ensures that patients receive effective and efficient treatment that decreases recovery time and gets their patients back in the water, on the trails, or even the pickleball court. The most common conditions treated

with a laser are joint sprains, plantar fasciitis, post-surgical recovery, and rotator cuff injuries.

"Pain is the last symptom to show up. If you've just thrown out your back, that didn't happen overnight. It was the 'last straw' resulting from underlying issues," Dr. Ryan explains. To avoid future pain, he recommends considering chiropractic treatment as a preventative measure before symptoms arise.

Planning an action-packed vacation involving backpacking, surfing, or skiing? The doctors at Trestles Chiropractic can conduct an examination, provide recommended adjustments or therapies, and help you avoid vacation-spoiling injuries. It's an excellent alternative to trip insurance!

Athletes, including golfers, flock to Dr. Ryan's office for pre-competition adjustments or postinjury laser treatments. The practice also assists many youth soccer and water polo players, as well as the growing pickleball community who often experience sprains, strains, or shoulder impingement.

At Trestles, age is never a barrier to seeing a chiropractor. Even infants struggling with gastrointestinal or reflux issues receive relief from gentle pediatric massages. Babies experiencing difficulties latching during breastfeeding may benefit from tiny adjustments using an activator—a chiropractic device that delicately shifts spinal joints to enhance mobility. Moreover, Trestles' physicians offer prenatal and postpartum treatments to ensure mothers remain comfortable throughout the changes their bodies undergo before and after pregnancy.

Experiencing pain while walking or running?

Dr. Ryan can examine your feet and utilize a new digital scanner to create a 3D mold of each foot for orthotic shoes or inserts. This quick and precise molding process allows a factory to customize shoes specifically for patients, offering superior effectiveness compared to over-the-counter options from pharmacies or running stores. While chiropractors may not typically be associated with foot care, the team at Trestles believes that overall wellness encompasses more than just the spine.

Whether you seek to improve your golf swing, require assistance for an infant struggling to nurse, or need relief from pain and discomfort, Trestles Chiropractic has a treatment solution for you. Call today to schedule a complimentary consultation at 949-284-6620 or visit TrestlesChiropractic.com.

STRATFORD

At Stratford School, high expectations yield extraordinary results. The advanced yet intentionally balanced curriculum starts as early as preschool to inspire and nurture the minds and hearts of every student. From the outset, they simplify challenging concepts, then accelerate learning to enable their students to study ahead of grade level, develop a love of learning, and prepare for the future.

From preschool through grade 8, Stratford's curriculum is infused with sequential instruction in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics — "STEAM" — to help students develop a diverse set of problemsolving skills and talents they'll need in today's world. This is accomplished through a unique cross-disciplinary approach that enhances critical thinking, integrates ideas from multiple subjects, and ultimately expands student learning.

Beginning in preschool, Stratford's curriculum is designed to develop the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical building blocks. Hands-on, multi-sensory activities, including their Imaginative STEAM Play, encourage preschoolers to play and share with others, while developing their self-confidence, so each child discovers the joy and excitement of learning.

In elementary, Stratford's accelerated core curriculum exceeds the National Standardized ERB Results and motivates students to become critical thinkers and proficient writers. This balanced approach imparts students with not only a wellrounded education; it fosters the development of strong friendships, effective study skills, and blossoming self-confidence.

Middle school continues the Stratford tradition of excellence. They prepare and mentor students for placement in honors and advanced courses at top-

tier private and public high schools. Stratford's intentional approach to educating the whole child results in young adults who are gifted communicators, skilled, generous collaborators, creative problem-solvers, and confident, insightful leaders.

The caring and passionate teachers at Stratford cultivate a fun and nurturing classroom environment, where high expectations encourage students to try new things with confidence and enthusiasm. They present a broad spectrum of learning opportunities. They engage students. They invite questions. They encourage students to collaborate. Consequently, students laugh a lot, and learn even more.

FOUNDATIONS COGNITIVE SCHOOLS

FOR STUDENTS WITH LEARNING DIFFICULTIES

The Foundations program methodology is to move past the traditional concept of simply managing the symptoms of learning disabilities and, instead, address the root cause of these challenges. Based on the concept of neuroplasticity (the brain’s ability to change, heal, and grow in response to targeted training), each day, students perform cognitive exercises that have been scientifically proven to strengthen weak cognitive capabilities. In other words, the goal of Foundations is to transform the brain, establishing capabilities that did not exist and, thus, begin to instill a newfound confidence and a love of learning. By strengthening cognitive capacities, students are able to work through tasks which were once incredibly challenging for them. In addition to its scientific approach to cognitive improvement, Foundations includes state-certified reading, writing, and math programs. When

combined with the cognitive exercises, these programs have helped many students achieve dramatic academic improvement.

INDIVIDUALIZED PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES INCLUSION IN SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

Foundations is a full-time program for students in 1st through 12th grade. Each classroom has a student-teacher ratio of 4:1. Students are assessed and work at a pace and level that is appropriate for his or her particular needs. In order to ensure that students are connected socially to others in their peer group, Foundations is located on the campus of a large private school, which allows students to attend recess, lunch, and enrichment/elective classes (P.E., art, music, etc.) with mainstream students in their grade. They also have the opportunity to play on sports teams and to participate in extra-curricular school activities offered at our partner

school, such as choir, dance, cheer, clubs, etc. High School students are offered the option to pursue a High School Diploma, or to participate in a Certificate of Completion program.

OUR PARTNER SCHOOL

Foundations is located on the San Juan Capistrano campus of the prestigious Fairmont Schools. The beautiful campus, spanning 66,000 square feet, includes two educational wings full of classroom space, playgrounds, gymnasium, music room, science labs, and more.

Recently, a local homeowner contacted me for help with his home insurance policy. His current insurer had chosen not to renew his coverage due to previous water damage claims filed on both his personal home and a rental property. As a result, his current agent could only offer him a new policy at a rate four times higher than his previous one.

This situation presented a challenge because our area often experiences water losses due to factors like the quality of copper pipes, construction standards of the past, and evolving water treatment methods.

Eager to assist, I proposed to the homeowner the idea of repiping his home. Surprisingly, he had already taken this initiative. Encouraged by this, I informed him that Farmers Insurance would consider this improvement when assessing his policy. Additionally, I recommended the installation of a home leak detection system to minimize the risk of future water damage incidents. Understanding the potential benefits and cost savings in terms of premium rates or even the possibility of being uninsured, the homeowner agreed that this investment was worthwhile.

Finally, after presenting evidence to Farmers Insurance that the claim for the rental property occurred while tenants were occupying it, they agreed to remove that claim from his record.

Thanks to the repiping of his home and the implementation of an automatic leak detection water shutoff system, Farmers Insurance decided to eliminate one of the claims associated with the homeowner's primary residence. Moreover, through my persistent efforts in demonstrating that the rental claim was for an occupied property, I managed to secure a homeowners policy for the homeowner at a significantly more reasonable rate. It is highly likely that I will have the pleasure of serving this new client for many years to come.

It is essential to remember that different insurance companies have varying criteria for assessing risk. What one insurer may consider unacceptable, another may view more favorably. If you are facing confusion or uncertainty regarding your homeowners insurance, I encourage you to give me the opportunity to assist you.

68th Annual

Music Festival

SAVE THE DATE!

The San Clemente Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce the upcoming 68th Annual Fiesta Music Festival, taking place on Sunday, August 13, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The festival will be held on the 100 and 200 blocks of Avenida Del Mar.

A BRIEF HISTORY: Fun for All Ages

Originating in 1953, the Fiesta is a cherished summer celebration, supported by the city, designed to bring joy to the entire family. This allday extravaganza offers an array of activities for both residents and visitors to enjoy. Moreover, local nonprofit organizations actively participate and raise funds, which are utilized to finance essential local youth scholarships, community events, and charitable initiatives.

UNINTERRUPTED THRILLS: Live Entertainment Extravaganza

Prepare for an exhilarating experience as Avenida Del Mar will be transformed into a vibrant hub of live music. Three stages will feature a lineup of popular performers throughout the day. Headliners for this year's event include The Aggrolites, Rumble King, NOT, The Provos, Star Zero, Laxi, and Wes Chiller.

AN EXTRAORDINARY ADVENTURE: Food, Games, Arts & Exhibits

Delight in a diverse array of offerings at the festival, including delectable food booths, arts and crafts vendors, marketing booths, games, and exhibits. The kids' zone, situated in the parking lot adjacent to the library, will entertain the little ones from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Furthermore, don't miss the chance to explore the open shops and restaurants in the downtown area.

TRANSPORTATION: Event Access Options

To ensure easy access to the event, two bike corrals will be available: one in front of the Community Center at Avenida Del Mar, and the other in the alleyway next to Artifex, behind South of Nick's. By participating in the opportunity drawings, you stand a chance to win an e-bike and bike accessories.

For those seeking convenience, a complimentary shuttle service will operate from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The shuttle pick-up point will be at San Clemente High School, located at 700 Avenida Pico. Additionally, the trolley service will be available from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with pick-up at the Outlets at San Clemente, in front of Starbucks. Please be aware that a modified downtown trolley schedule will be in effect from Saturday evening at 6 p.m. until Sunday at 8 p.m., featuring five stops throughout the downtown area.

Get ready for a day of festivities, music and fun at the 68th Annual Fiesta Music Festival in San Clemente!
