ROMANZA INTERIOR DESIGN

A Pinch of PURPLE, a Glint of GOLD. Romanza’s Melissa Allen took a dramatic departure in creating the lavender master suite in Mediterra’s Annalisa estate model. “It’s soft, romantic and different,” says Allen. “The room has really created a memory point for the model home.” This fall, the designer saw the same color trend reflected in the Baker showroom at the High Point furniture market. “If there’s anything new, it’s always in the Baker showroom,” Allen says. “The color palette in the Annalisa – that pinch of purple – was reflected in the latest luxury trends at the show.” Gold is also on tap for 2014. “Gold is back and is being featured on furniture finishes, accessories and lighting,” says Allen. “It’s not polished but more of a soft, champagne gold – and it’s sometimes being blended with silver.” What else did the designer pick up at High Point? “Gray as a neutral isn’t going away, and it was nice to see a representation of every color, including turquoise, magenta and navy blue with black.” Visit a Romanza-designed model today for colorful inspiration for your dream home.

GREAT EATS at Osteria Tulia Trust a builder to notice the rustic décor created by generous use of brick and wood in a local restaurant. But even the ambience-enhancing combo took a back seat to the wood-charred octopus and tortelloni that Steve Miller, vice president of London Bay Homes, recently enjoyed during a leisurely dinner with friends at Osteria Tulia on Fifth Avenue South in Naples. Headed by chef/partner Vincenzo Betulia, Osteria Tulia specializes in rustic Italian cuisine. Miller credits an enthusiastic server for making spot-on recommendations, including the appetizer and his entrée – a roasted beef short rib served with tortelloni, foie gras emulsion and Marsala. “The approach is more from a health angle with lots of vegetables on the menu, much of it locally grown,” Miller says. “The wine list is comprehensive, with the perfect accompaniment for every dish.”

“The restaurant is casual and relaxed, and

THE FOOD EXPERIENCE IS SIMPLY AMAZING.” – Steve Miller

The restaurant, which made its Naples debut in 2013, serves homemade pasta, pizzas, salads and even prepares its own salami in-house. “There’s a distinctive energy at Tulia,” says Miller. “It’s a great gathering spot.” Osteria Tulia 466 5th Ave S, Naples, FL 34102 (239) 213-2073 • www.tulianaples.com

TWO Parades & ONE Showcase Welcome Visitors to Luxury Models Taking in a parade along Main Street, USA, may seem a little ho-hum in comparison to Parade of Homes events, which welcome homebuyers and the public into model homes featuring beautiful architectural and interior design. These upcoming Parade events feature London Bay Homes’ magnificent luxury villa and single-family estate models in select Southwest Florida communities. Lee County Parade of Homes – View four of London Bay’s model homes at Mediterra and Quail West during the county building association’s annual event. In Mediterra, the Girona and Capriano luxury villas and the single-family estate Annalisa open their doors on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. from Feb. 15 to March 2. In Quail West, visit the brand-new Brighton model featuring classic-style interior design. Collier County Parade of Home – With construction wrapping up on the Bettina and Delfina models at Mediterra, Parade participants have the opportunity to explore up to six model homes March 8-9 and March 15-16. In addition to the models open during the Lee County event, London Bay also will feature the Eloro, a spacious luxury villa. Mediterra Community Showcase – Get behind the gates at Mediterra to view high-end performance cars, runway-worthy fashion and award-winning models and interior design – all for a good cause. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 22-23 and March 29-30, we’re opening the doors to six luxury villa and estate models during the Showcase, with all proceeds benefiting the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida.
