Return of Chamber golf day a huge success!

The first Chamber golf day in over ten years took place in July and was a huge success! Held at Foyle Golf Centre on Friday 7 July, ‘Fore the Win’ attracted over 80 people from across the North West business community to take part to see who would come out on top as champion of the Chamber.

With spot prizes, competitions, and a chance to get out of the office for a day and onto the links, the day was an excellent opportunity for members to mingle with fellow colleagues, treat their staff to an enjoyable day out, and test their skills on the course.

Past President of the Chamber and current Lord-Lieutenant of the County Borough of Londonderry Ian Crowe MBE DL came out on top as Best Player, while the group from Moore NI were awarded Best Team. Chris Doherty from Bank of Ireland came out on top in the front nine while Tommy McBride from the Bishop’s Gate Hotel won the back nine. Marina Hamilton from Fleming Steel, after a tie with Helen Quigley, came out as our Best Lady, while John McEleney won the nearest to the pin competition.

A special thanks must go to all our sponsors for this year’s event – JKC BMW, Big Moo, Alchemy Technology Services, Benchmark Financial Planning, Dawn McLaughlin and Co, the White Horse Hotel, Loganair, Bank of Ireland, Moore NI, Sandwich Co., Toast Accountants, Bishop’s Gate Hotel, Frylite, and MJ Flood. Without your generous sponsorship, events like these would not be possible and we are always grateful for your continued support.

If you missed out this year, get a team together now and get practicing for next year’s golf day!
