EDITOR'S LETTER Welcome to another issue of London Runway – this time, our Green Issue, as we celebrate (like we always do) the sustainable designers out there who are protecting our planet whilst also making us look good.
same day as our Face of London Runway semi-final, as all of these competitors had to get back to their home countries as soon as we were done!
This month we have a whole host of London Fashion Week content for you to devour, with galleries galore from last month’s spectacular. If you haven’t seen your favourite LFW designer, don’t worry – you may have missed some if you didn’t pick up last month’s issue, and we have plenty more coming next time out as well.
Before I let you get on with the rest of the issue, we’re about to announce some big changes coming to London Runway. I won’t spill all the details now, but suffice to say, 2024 is going to be BIG. We’re changing the way we release the issues, changing the format a bit, and - here’s the bit you’ll be most excited about - making our issues much bigger, too. More pages and more features!
We’ve also got a couple of in-house editorials here this month, which is always exciting! They feature Ana Julia and Julie, who were our runners-up in the Face of London Runway (you’ll see more from another of our runners-up, Raphael, in our next issue). These photoshoots were accomplished with the help of the DFMA makeup academy, and were done on a tight schedule – we shot them on the
We’re also tightening our mission statement a bit. After almost seven years in business, we’ve spent a lot of time thinking about the features that work and don’t work, the content that we enjoy creating and sharing and the stuff that feels too much like work. We’ve also taken into account your feedback over the past years, on our social media cccounts and directly from our collaborators.
I’m quite excited about the changes to come, and we’ll also be welcoming a new team member before long, too.
If you want to learn more about these big shifts in our approach, make sure that you pick up the next issue. We’re going to be spilling all the tea on what to expect from London Runway in 2024, and I think you’re going to be just as excited as we are. In the meantime, we’re wrapping things up for 2023 - which means our very last advertising opportunities at the current price, our last feature opportunities for any models, photographers, or designers until 2024, and a farewell to some of the competitions and events we’ve run over the years. We’d normally be announcing the London Runway Sustainability Awards in this issue, but we’ve decided to let it go as we move into the new era - making way for something even better. I've been modeling since 2014, and I have modeled myself, built my portfolios, worked on applying for gigs, I've been featured in Duluth Ga Kohl's stores for makeup brand Pur Cosmetics, and I find gigs myself. I'm also a photographer, blogger, videographer, influencer, and creator. Where are you from originally? I am from Atlanta, Ga born and raised, parents from Bangladesh, as a first gen South Asian American I am so excited to be here. Do you have an unusual talent or party trick? I can pose every few seconds very fast in photoshoots, and I am

superwoman. I have multiple talents and projects at the moment. What would surprise people to know about you? I have 5+ businesses and social media pages that are 10+ pages on multiple platforms. I have lived on my own for the past two years! I’m in my late 20’s and I’m from Atlanta, GA and here’s my story as a first generation American Bengali, as well as oldest daughter in the family. What are your modelling ambitions? I want to be signed on to an agency in United States and international like London and Paris and my home country Bangladesh. I want to do modeling as a career and do the most unique fashion styles, open my own clothing line up, and NFT line in digital fashion as well. NEW FACE: JADEN Name: Jaden Victor Cadot Age: 21 Location: Toronto, Canada Agency: ICON Model Management How long have you been modelling for? I started modelling professionally at the beginning of this year 2023. Where are you from originally? I was adopted from China as a baby and have lived in North America ever since. Do you have an unusual talent or party trick? I cannot say that I have any talents I would classify as "unusual" but I have loved singing ever since I can remember. I am not much of a party person but will go occasionally if the opportunity arises. I primarily enjoy being by myself or with my boyfriend/family/friends.
about you? I was painfully shy when I was young .What are your modelling ambitions? I aim to stay true to myself and promote diversity in modelling and fashion. Particularly for me, I really want to help prove that people of Asian ethnicity/descent are just as qualified to model as anyone else. Another very strong passion for me is to spread the word about petite models like myself. There is this notion that shorter people cannot model because clothes do not look good on them but the actual problem is that a majority of clothes are designed and made for taller people. Similar to how most clothes are designed and made for slim body types. If you have pants that have been made with petite measurements then they will look just as amazing on a petite model as regular sized pants would on a regular sized model.

So I believe it’s been 8 years now Where are you from originally? I’m originally born in Dubai. Partially brought up in Dubai and partially Mumbai, India. My parents are Indian. Do you have an unusual talent or party trick? I can make bird noises.
What would surprise people to know about you? I paint canvases. I’ve been painting since childhood. Looks like I had a thing for art since childhood. Not many people know this about me. Only the ones who closely knows me since childhood! What are your modelling ambitions? To get featured in Vogue, GQ, Bazaar any big magazines someday. And channel myself exploring runaway shows for international or luxury brands in campaigns. That’d be fun and exciting to explore myself.
