Sand Dollar Quilters I love being at LIV in January! OK, I love all my time here at LIV. But January brings more quilting friends back and it is so exciting to see what everyone has been working on since we were last together. The ‘Show and Tell’ part of our meetings is my favorite and is always fabulous. Although the Beginner’s quilt classes are in progress, newcomers are welcome anytime! The Sand Dollar Quilters are an encouraging, helpful, fun bunch that meet each Friday in the Arts and Crafts room. Please come join us!
LIV Book Club
Please join us Tuesday, February 7th, 7:00 p.m at the LIV Library for a discussion of the following book(s): Sarah’s Key by Tatiana de Rosnay and/or Those Who Save Us by Jenna Blum. ON March 6th, the book we will discuss will be Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand by Helen Simonson. Since our LIV Library can only afford to have one copy of each book covered, please check with the Port Isabel Public Library, a friend, or the local bookstore on SPI, Paragraphs, to obtain a copy of the book.
sandy1302@aol.com or
We look forward to seeing you at the Annual Quilt Show, held in conjunction with the Trash & Treasures and the Book Sale on Saturday, February 18th.
Barb Prozyk
Thanks,
Sandy Moore
We’ll be having our Annual Pajama party to make donation quilts and all are invited to attend. There are tasks for non-quilters such as tying quilts, ironing, putting colors together, etc. It’s a fun, productive evening making quilts for the Blue Sunday Child Abuse Prevention Initiative. Watch Channel 18 for information.

New Owner Directories will be here for the annual meeting in March. Buy your directory “EARLY” before you leave. We will be selling them when you go vote at the annual meeting. I am only ordering 300 this year as we did not sell all the directories for 2011. Printing cost may go up because the quanity will be less and our profit will be less.
