FAMILY FUN FOR EVERYONE

Welcome New Owners

It’s hard to imagine this summer could be more fun than last summer………but it is what it is!

Last summer 16 boats participated in the annual LIV Fishing Tournament. This year 20 boats hit the bay to hook the biggest red, trout, or flounder.

Congratulations to Javier Hinojosa who landed a 27 ¼ “ red fish weighing in at 6.72 lbs. and Team Wernecke who brought in the biggest trout at 21 7/8 inches long, weighing 2.97 lbs. The summer D & E provided hotdogs and drinks for to all participants & spectators. A Yeti Cooler was raffled and many anglers won great door prizes! $1,000 was raised for our Employee Christmas Bonus fund and we were all surprised when an anonymous donor handed over a check for another $1,000. Thank you anonymous donor!! Last year 60 golf carts lined up for the annual 4th of July Golf Cart Parade. This year the conservative count was 97 carts & bicycles participating in the parade! In the words of resident Paula Gilbert “they just kept coming & coming…..” Congrats to Renter Ray Alvarez Golf Cart Winner. Hats off to the summer D&E for a well-planned, well executed event! When the parade was over hot dogs and water melon were ready for us at the Pavilion. Professional singer Steven May and Lauren Corzine with Ryan Falls & Phillip Corzine volunteered their time to entertain us at a great after party! Even Port Isabel Mayor Joe Vega participated in the parade…….and rumor has it…….he had a great time! The Red, White & Blue Solo Cup Patriotic Dance started out with all the kids lining up to honor our flag & our veterans. Then resident DJ Cool Raul Moreno started spinning those tunes and approximately 400 hundred friends and family members danced the night away. A 50/50 raffle was held during the dance and $262 was donated to Geno Vara to help offset his hospitalization expenses.
