September Lake Street Dive Sunday, September 6 7:30 pm From a casually made video featuring the band gathered around a single mic, to selling out venues and planning an initial European tour, Lake Street Dive is pure pop music fun! This Brooklyn-based band is a captivating indie-pop-swing foursome whose knockout lead singer Rachel Price “has the soulful howl of a young Etta James” (Daily News). The band, all graduates of the New England Conservatory of Music, has been together since 2005, but broke through seemingly overnight with a viral video of them covering the Jackson Five’s “I Want You Back” on a Boston street corner in 2013. Performance: Open Air Theatre Tickets: ticketphiladelphia.org or 215.893.1999 $25–$45 Reserved Seating $20–$40 Members

Lost in the Meadow Presented by Longwood Gardens in Partnership with People’s Light September 9–12 and 16–19 6:30 pm

Join us for the first theater performance presented in our Meadow Garden. Created by the award-winning PearlDamour and Mimi Lien, Lost in the Meadow follows an eclectic group of pilgrims as they make their way through the expanse of the Meadow Garden, each looking for a place where they belong. Headphones allow the audience to hear the travelers’ conversations, even though they are hundreds of feet away. In another part of the Meadow Garden, workers are building something: a giant tower, crowned with a mysterious megaphone. What message will this tower broadcast? Can it help these pilgrims find their way? Filled with humor, spectacle, and music, Lost in the Meadow explores the quest of the tiny human being to understand the big picture.

Tickets On Sale Starting May 15 Tickets: longwoodgardens.org or 610.388.1000 $45 General Admission $38 Members All-day Gardens Admission and admission to Nightscape: A Light and Sound Experience by Klip Collective is included with Lost in the Meadow ticket purchase.
