New home sought for local artist's painting

THIS painting of Bolsterstone Fair is looking for a new home.

It was painted around 1979 by the local Sheffield artist, Stephen Lake. You can see several wellknown local people clearly in the picture.

Now it has been donated by the person for whom Stephen painted it.

It was given to the recent Mac- Millan Coffee Morning at Christ Church, but instead of auctioning it off to the highest bidder, it was decided by the church and the donor to try and find a suitable home for it in Bolsterstone.

The church and the donor are hoping that it can be seen by many people in future years, and also that its gift will result in a suitable donation to the Mac- Millan Coffee Morning.

If any organisation in Bolsterstone, or any individuals who want to help it to stay in Bolsterstone, want to get in touch with the minister at Christ Church, Rev Ian Lucraft, please email Ian on ianlucraft@btinternet.com.
