ave you ever asked yourself how “well” your hair is, or considered whether you’re feeding it the right nutrients to behave in the way you’d like it to? It might seem an odd concept, but hair wellness is about to explode, and there’s method in the madness – including significance for hair loss. When it comes to our skin, factors including stress, the products we use, pollution and our digestion can all affect its condition; so why wouldn’t the same be true of our hair? It’s certainly an area that many of us think about. A recent survey found that around seven in ten UK women suffer with hair loss at some point in their lives. In the last year, hair loss has been the No. 1 hair concern mentioned on social media, and there have been 30% more Google searches than for dry hair. “Over the past five years hair loss has become a massive topic of conversation,” says award-winning hairdresser Sally Brooks, owner of London salon Brooks & Brooks. “Women are talking more openly about it. They’re also not prepared for it and so they want an immediate solution.”
