What time do you wake up? 6.30am. One ritual you do everyday? Tell my husband I love him before we both head off to work. What do you see when you look in the mirror? A woman who is strong, kind and loyal. A woman who stands up for what is right. The last beauty treatment you had? Infrared sauna. Your fail-safe tricks for throwing together a last-minute outfit? Keep it simple and accessorise with fabulous shoes, jewellery and good make-up. Best style tip you’ve received? Splurge on good quality staples but save on trendy items. Your everyday style is impeccable. What’s your secret? Always be yourself. Don’t go for quick fads. Go for classic, timeless pieces. The biggest fashion mistake you’ve made? Low rise jeans. What are your favourite clothing items? Levi’s jeans, Rag and Bone crew neck white tees and my black blazer. You wish people would... Have more empathy. What motivates you? My husband and my family. Your all-time favourite movie? Titanic.

What TV shows are you currently bingeing? I just discovered Peaky Blinders – loving it! Do you have a favourite quote? The only constant in life is change. Embrace it. What has been your proudest moment? Marrying my husband [Dan]. Fact we don’t know about you? I love to cook and I especially love to cook for big groups. Ideal escape? History with a side of the beach. We went to Mallorca this year and it was the perfect mix of strolling through the old town and laying by the beach! Favourite past holiday? Dan and I went to Europe in their summer in 2019. We went for our friend’s wedding and had the most wonderful time with a huge group of friends. In-flight essentials? Eye mask, earplugs, Hydralyte and lots of moisturiser (I love the AHC Perfecting Eye Cream for Face!). Last time you cried of happiness? Finding out I was going to my best friend’s son’s godmother. Drink of choice? My favourite summer cocktail is Campari, gin and grapefruit juice. Try it – it’s really delicious! I’m guilty of... Re-watching sitcoms over and over again. Friends, Parks and Recreation, Scrubs etc. What’s your pet hate? Badly folded laundry [laughs]. Your go-to lip stain? Currently it’s Charlotte Tilbury’s Latex Love – the perfect summer orange lip. What would you do if you had a day off? I’d watch trashy movies, hang out with my friends and cook dinner for my husband. The craziest thing you’ve done in the name of fashion? Wear high heels. The pain is real, but hot damn if they don’t make me feel like a million bucks. Favourite place to eat out? Fratelli Paradiso or Lotus in Sydney. Worst fear? Losing my family. If you had a crystal ball, what would you want to see? I would see myself as an old grandma surrounded by my grandkids. What’s on your playlist? Hamilton soundtrack.

Camilla and Marc, Scanlan Theodore and Bec + Bridge. Creature of habit or element of surprise? Creature of habit – always! It’s never too late to... FROTHY FROCKS Star Style FASHION

‘Big-dress energy’ was a theme at the spring shows, with puff sleeves and ruffles aplenty as designers embraced romance and nostalgia. Examples of the trend executed in white had an added layer of naivety, with a sense of escapism. The best of these were seen at Erdem, Simone Rocha and Christian Dior, which all had a cinematic mood evoking classics such as Picnic at Hanging Rock and Daughters of the Dust. We love this look for daytime: let your dress do the work and keep everything else simple!

SWEET SORBET

BAG $371 VANINA NET-A-PORTER.COM Bright hues weren’t the only colours on the runway –there were swathes of pastels, too. We loved examples from Marco De Vincenzo (with gelato to match), Gucci and Emilia Wickstead. They’re flattering and mood-elevating with an undercurrent of innocence –a big reason designers often return to this delightful palette. Wear pastels head to toe, or add a touch to your beauty look for a sweet yet modern approach.

TIP Pastels can be for autumn, too! Add a pop of bolder colour in your coat or trousers to tone down the sweetness.

DYNAMIC DOTS

Polka dots have been on our radar for a while –they’ve been popular with local designers this season –and there was a spate of them at recent shows. We spotted dots at Michael Kors, Carolina Herrera, Dries Van Noten and more. Bold yet classic, black and white made for the most popular combo, with the trend looping into fashion’s fascination with the late ’80s and early ’90s. Think Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman or Princess Diana on a photo call. We advocate a layering of spots for a decisive, modern look.
