Dear customer… Welcome to 2024! Blink and you have missed 2023 it seems. Last year was a whirlwind. Two Wholesaler of the Year awards, a Golf Day, a Wine and Spirits Portfolio Tasting, huge cost increases, new customers, lost customers, new trucks, new staff, new brands, rain, sunshine, snow, floods……………..it had it all! On that basis I am sure we will all be forgiven for wanting a slightly more predictable and stable 2024. We know cost increases are going to come again, but sat here now in Mid-December, we haven’t had sight of any of the National Brewer increases as yet. I am reliably informed, although this is not a confirmation, that they

will be lower than previously, measured and back to once a year, hitting in Q1 at some point. It remains to be seen if this happens, but I would welcome a return to the preCovid predictability of such things. The Front Cover has a very up to date message on it. I would not have believed you 5 years ago if you’d have told me we would be promoting a non-alcoholic brand front and centre, but the Low and No sector is ever increasing. Lucky Saint is a brand in its own right, not owned by a big boy, just ploughing away, doing its thing, and doing it very well. It is available in bottle, can and on draught in 30L kegs. We can install immediately and get you

Judges were impressed with Small Beer’s 18% growth year on year. Small Beer’s ethos stood out from the crowd with its passion to support regional and independent pub owners - and doing that really well. Small Beer clearly demonstrated its strengths and the moves made over the last 12 months to ignite a jump in sales. These included six field sales reps recruited specifically to go out and support independent pub owners, and an increased stock holding, with additional trucks.
