2 Small Beer
Dear customer…
Summer is here, its 28 degrees outside and England are still in the Euros and England are in the T20 semi-final tooall is well in the world!
With this amazing weather, we are sure to have a bumper time in the pubs and clubs, or so we hope! This trade has a tendency to turn quickly so we are all keeping everything crossed that the weather and our sporting heroes have read the script!
It is hard to know where to start with this brochure as there is just so much in it,
but our front page offer on the amazing new Thatchers Juicy draught cider seems appropriate. There are other ciders out there, but this is brilliant. Full of fruit and really hits the refreshing summer vibe. Personally I think it will go fantastically in almost any outlet, and Thatchers have a great support package too to help with the installation.
I have never seen so many colourful and summery adverts in one brochure, with so many options too. Cocktails are proving so popular these days
it is no wonder they are front and centre of the offerings. Call one of the team today and we will come and see you to help you maximise the most out of these high profit drinks.
We wish you all a blistering and busy time over the next few months. Up The England, Up The Sunshine and Up Hospitality!
Cheers, Rob Eastwood Managing Director

HOT TIPS FOR YOUR
BEST DATES LICENSING
Check what’s on locally so you don’t clash with any other events that are similar, some events might actually be a good clash!
STAFF
Make sure your staff know what drinks you are offering, what they taste like, the brewery, and prices. Knowledge of your product is essential to success.
Great tasting notes can be found on over 2600 beers at www.cyclopsbeer.co.uk.
SAFETY
Remember to complete all relevant risk assessment before your beer festival. These may include health & safety, door supervisors, fire safety and noise control.
BEER FESTIVAL
Running a well-planned beer festival this summer could boost trade & attract both existing & new customers to your venue.
Check whether you need an additional premises license to run activities or for the extended hours associated with beer festivals. This may be a variation to your existing license or a temporary event notice.
Consider in advance how you are going to manage noise from the event including monitoring noise levels, dispersal of customers and ticketing to manage numbers. You can talk to your local environmental health officer prior to the event to ask for any recommendations.
Work out which drinks to include and your margins. You should include a range of ABVs, colours & styles to suit every palate (e.g. milds, porters, blonde ales, strong ales).
Once all the hard work is complete in planning your beer festival make sure you shout about it on all social media platforms as well as inside and outside your venue #enjoyit #boosttrade.
Offering food can encourage customers to enjoy beer with food and also enhance your profit margins on the day.

We have gathered some less usual spritz ingredients all of which can be added to a menu to help drive those summer sales.
TASTE SOME Sweet Summer Profits
If there is one clear trend for 2024, it’s nolo, or no- and low-alcohol drinks. The interest around LOW AND ALCOHOL-FREE COCKTAILS IN PARTICULAR, IS SET TO SOAR THIS SUMMER Make sure you set up your venue for the sweet taste of summer success.
TOP TIPS FOR MAKING A WORLD CLASS MOCKTAIL*:
Stray away from the sweet tooth – most mocktails are super sweet but they don’t need to be.
77% of Brits say they are moderating their alcohol intake**
Keep things fresh – treat non-alcoholic cocktails in exactly the same way you treat regular cocktails and spruce them up with a fresh garnish.
Don’t hold back on theatre or glassware, these are just as important with non-alcoholic cocktails as their alcoholic counterparts.
Move away from designing mocktails for kids, they should taste like they have been made for adults. Add more bitterness to make a sipping drink.
Keep the look simple, minimalistic and more subtle. Trends have moved away from bright over the top mocktails.
