E Coin-ent is beautifully situated 111 one of the healthiest suburbs of Melbourne. within two minutes'

T walk of Toorak Railway Station. The Electric Tram passes close by the gates. There is also a Bus Service.

Special importance is attached to religious training.

The aim of the school is to provide a sound eclucation oil modern lines, to develop to the full the capacity of every girl. and help her to become a useful ancl gracious woman in whatever position she may have to fill. Particular attention is paid to Manners and Deportment.

Speech training is an important part of the Course of Studies. Ample provision is marle for recreation and sports. under the direct supervision of the nuns and of trained games mistresses.

1 he individual attention which is paid to health ancl character formation is likely to ensure the best use of- the educational advantages offered.

The course of studies includes the various branches of a first-class English education, with Modern Languages and Classics, Mathematics, Science, Plain and Ornamental Needlework, Physical Culture, Sports, Riding, and Dancing.

Pupils are prepared for the Intermediate and I.eaving Certificate Examinations of the Universitv of Melbourne.

There are special facilities for Music, vocal :ind instrumental. Pupils are prepared for the various grades of the University of Melbourne, of the Associated Board of the Royal Academy, and of Trinity College, London.

Orchestral and Choral Classes are held weekly.

1-)rawing is taught throughout the school. But Special Classes are formed for girls shon-ing an aptitude for tlie subject. The inore advanced pupils work at studies from natural objects in Oils or Water Colours. Outdoor sketching is encouraged.

Clubs are formed for girls specially interested in Literature, Music and French, and meetings for study or discussion are held.

Senior girls have the benefit of attencling lectures given under the auspices of the Loreto Reacling Circle,

an association formed primarily to encourage study of the Catholic vieu-point in History. Literature and Art. The school year consists of thi-ec terms of thirteen weeks eacl 1, beginning the second week iii February. the first week in June, and the third week iii Septeinber.

References are required before the admission of a pupil, also ti ·stinionials of good conduct from the last school attended.
