GRAND EASTER DISPLAYS
In preparation for Easter, our Lori’s team members have been crafting gorgeous displays of grab-and-go gift selections and Easter baskets for busy hospital staff, patients, and visitors. We love helping our guests add magic to their holidays, while easing stress and keeping costs minimal. Happy Easter, everyone!
NATIONAL VOLUN
National Volunteer Appreciation Week will take place from April 16 to April 22. Celebrated each year during the 3rd week of April, NVA draws our attention and gratitude to the thousands of volunteers across the country who keep many organizations running, communities safe, and those in need served, cared for and comforted.
At Lori’s, hospital volunteers/auxiliary teams are dear to our hearts, and play an integral role in the success of the hospital and our gift shops. During NVA Week, Lori’s is offering 30% off gift shop purchases for volunteers who wear their badges and present a photo ID.
AT ION WEEK AND NURSE ’S WEEK
National Nurse’s Week is around the corner. Nurse’s Week begins each year on May 6, National Nurse’s Day, and ends on May 12, Florence Nightingale’s birthday. Nurses are essential to every healthcare setting—in hospitals, nursing homes, ambulatory care centers, and patient homes. Nurses are present in our lives from our first breath to our last, and are the at the heart of every medical setting.
At Lori’s, we cherish our nurses, offering them rewards and discounts throughout the year. Honor your favorite nurses by treating them to a Lori’s gift card, so they can purchase their favorite fashions, fragrances, jewelry, gifts, accessories, electronics, snacks, beverages and more.

To Tom, the job is much more than working in a retail atmosphere. He knows patients and families who come into our stores sometimes need an ear to talk to—they need us to be there for them. Hospital employees who work hard and long need a break, and look to us to help them. Tom states, “Working with our Hospital Partners is very important to me. We need to work together to make a great Gift Shop. The thing that makes Lori’s different from other companies is our heart— what we call Lori’s Love.” Tom said he loves his team and appreciates their hard work and dedication to Lori’s and the hospitals they serve, remarking that, “They are so compassionate, with great empathy, and are passionate about their jobs.”

CONGRATULATIONS
Lori’s Gifts is thrilled to announce our first ever “Make Your Mark” Award recipient!
Congratulations to Myra Evans, Store 402 Manager at Akron General in Ohio.
Over 80 submissions were sent in to our Leadership Team, but Myra’s multiple nominations ultimately stood out, as they illustrated her heart and generosity in caring for her Guests. One particularly touching story is about a special needs guest who loves books, but doesn’t understand that one cannot
simply take a book off the Choice Book rack when leaving the shop. With two special needs brothers, Myra recognizes the disconnect, and allows the young customer to select a book that he likes every time he comes to the store. Once he leaves, Myra has a team member ring her up for the book. She understands how important it is for this young man to feel he has some control in his life. Myra has purchased almost 10 books for him this year, expecting nothing in return. She has definitely left a mark with this customer, and so many more.
The Make Your Mark Award will be given each month to a team member for going above and beyond to take care of Lori’s
Guests. Winners will receive the glass heart trophy, recognition, two extra PTO days, a local hotel stay, dinner and more. The award is an icon of Lori’s commitment to empowering teams to love and do right by Guests, Partners and each other — just like Myra Evans does!
