Lori’s Gifts is uniquely dedicated to serving medical/hospital environments exclusively. We are diligent in listening to our guests about their daily lives in fast-paced, often stressful hospital environments, and how they might be improved. After receiving feedback from hospital surveys, we realized the need for a service that could provide escape and relaxation, and recently unveiled our new test-initiative called “Relaxed.”
Our inaugural Relaxed spa-massage service location opened its doors in July at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA. The facility features two private spa rooms with lighting, decor, and sensory experiences that evoke a tranquil zen garden escape.
Each room boasts a state-of-the-art new massage chair that features a personalized, touchless, full-body treatment tailored to individual guest prefererences for a variety of massage experiences. The spa area shop has an impressive selection of soothing body care products, too. Based on feedback from guests, the Relaxed facility is a hit. Here is just a sampling of the rave reviews we heard: “Best experience ever in a massage chair;” “Love not having anyone touch areas I’m self-conscious about;” “Way more than I expected;” “Not the mall experience;” “Not the nail shop massage chair!” and “The experience was way more than I expected, but I wish I had more time in the chair!” If a relaxation station sounds like a good fit for your facility, workers and clientele, let your Lori’s gift shop manager know!
Chris Roumelis has worked in retail almost all of his adult life, in just about every capacity. In his 18+ years with Home Depot, Chris rose from Asst. Mgr. Trainee to District Mgr., and was part of the Central US Field Ops team that opened the 100th store. He has served as DM for various companies for 19+ years.

Chris has lived in Texas 31 years, where he serves as DM for Lori’s Southern Region, but has moved 7 times in his career, and has visited 43 US states! After finding post-COVID retirement unfulfilling, Chris was ready to get back into the world of retail, and in Nov. 2021, came on board with Lori’s. When asked what he loves about Lori’s, Chris said, “It’s a company like no other. The Store Managers are absolutely wonderful and bring a smile to my face every single day.” He said he has not before seen such dedication to the company, the work, and the customers. Chris said there is such joy in retail when you can make guests happy, stating that, “In the hospital setting, that joy is magnified — whether it’s a hospital employee coming in for an escape, or a visitor needing respite from coping with a sick family member.”
Chris said what drives him is his family. Married 36 years (August 8), with 3 boys, he said his family is very athletics-centered, and they have always shared a love of sports. Chris played college tennis for SUNY Buffalo, and he and his family continue to stay active in athletics.
