This December, shops were cheerfully decorated with festive holiday displays to exhibit great products and gift ideas. Gingerbread men, peppermints, and snowflakes adorned shops, as team members wore fun holiday fashions to greet guests. In select stores, from Dec. 8-11, new products were rolled out with deep discounts, just in time for gift-giving. Special deals on products including laptop computers, BEATS headphones and earbuds, Ninja Foodi grills, coffee makers, and SubZero coolers were offered, and

more by spinning the prize wheel for discounts. The special event led to record-breaking traffic and sales.

Lori’s inviting warmth and great savings wrapped visitors in the giving spirit of Christmas. At Store 363 at Aurora Baycare in Green Bay, WI, a gentleman visiting the shop during the event extended a heart-warming gesture. He asked District Managers Tim Murphy and Tracy Sinnott if he could donate money for a child’s gift. Store Manager Maria Kahler-Martinez helped the girl, who chose a barnyard of mini-horses. She and her parents were very touched by this act of kindness. Just look at those three joyful smiles!

with Lori’s, bringing 32 years of retail experience to her role as East Region District Manager. She served as Harris Teeter’s first African-American Category Manager, and was District Manager for Cato Corp. in all divisions including Cato, Versona, and It’s Fashion. Michelle says operating stores for Cato at its headquarters in Charlotte, NC offered her opportunities to work with all levels of leadership, including CEO John Cato. She learned and delivered the expectation of having the best store presentation at all times. Her collective experiences gave her the skills to drive Lori’s District 126 to excellence. Michelle was excited to join at the launch of MI9, which she believes has transformed our organization with inventory management. Her favorite thing to do each day is working with her group of store leaders. She says, “I love working here because we are a TEAM. We hear one another and we make necessary steps to improve each and every day. Team NC, SC and KY are the BEST team day in and day out!” Michelle, a woman of faith, gives honor to God, the head of her life. She has been married 24 years to husband Johnny Anderson Jr., and they have 5 children: Destini Anderson Pratt, attorney at law; Jazmine, USC; Johnny III, NC A&T; Jalen, UNC Asheville, and Jiya, 4th grade. Physical inventory counts are an essential part of keeping inventory records accurate and current. Up to date records help provide better forecasts of sales and purchases, and ensures we always have the right products in the right quantity on hand. The 5-week process involves physically counting every item in each shop and store room, with a focus on 2 categories per week. The rigorous process will require all hands on deck for Lori’s team members across the nation. For some shops, it may be necessary to alter hours of operation.

instances. Lori’s will strive to provide as seamlessly as possible our same excellent customer service during the process. In addition to regular cycle counts, the annual inventory allows our company to track the quantity and value of all inventory on hand, and identify any discrepancies between actual and recorded inventory levels. Taking thorough stock ultimately assures excellent stewardship of our resources. In turn, we are able to provide the freshest foods and beverages, the trendiest fashions and gifts, electronics and personal care

items, all at the lowest possible cost to our hospital partners, employees, patients, and guests.
