OUR NEW ‘POLISHED’ IN-STORE KIOSK IS A BEAUTIFUL THING!
Lori’s recently began testing Polished, our new beauty bar, in a small number of select stores. The response has been overwhelmingly positive! Guests are thrilled with the
product selection and pricing, and love that the beauty bar saves them a trip to another location. The beauty kiosks provide convenience and a way for healthcare workers and
those they serve to feel beautiful and polished, even in stressful moments. We look forward to expanding Polished in more stores in the future.
LORI’S CELEBRATES THR E E N E W RIBBON-CUTTING CEREMONIES
On August 24th, Lori’s celebrated the Grand Opening of Store 653 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Passavant (10 miles north of downtown Pittsburgh, McCandless). Closed in Dec. 2021 for remodeling, the Medical Center is again open. Tom Drewes, District Manager stated, “We are happy to be back on the hospital campus. Love to be around the great staff at UPMC Passavant.” Kimberly Kelly, hospital Guest Relations said “We are so happy for Lori’s to be back! It’s been a long time coming.”
Dell Children’s Medical Center North, part of the Ascension Seton healthcare system, officially opened its doors in Austin in April. Less than two months later, on
June 2, the hospital hosted a second ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the Grand Opening of Store 657. Southern Regional Vice President, Bob Robinson, said “It is an honor to partner with both of Austin’s Dell Children’s Hospitals, and the Lori’s team is truly excited to serve the North healthcare facility’s young patients, their families, and the hospital’s staff.”
Centerpoint Medical Center, part of the HCA Midwest Health system, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Independence Missouri on Wednesday, June 28 to celebrate the Grand Opening of Lori’s Gifts Store 655. Employees and visitors were lined up to enjoy special Grand Opening deals. Patient Benenfit Advisor Bryan McArthur was amazed at the turnout, saying “The new store is awesome, and this is very exciting! Today was like a Black Friday event!” Look for more openings to come soon!
FIELD LEADERSHIP
Tim Murphy graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a Business Degree with an emphasis in Management. After graduating, Tim started at Foot Locker, and held various Management positions. He was promoted to District Manager in 2006, and ran the Cincinnati, Ohio and Northern Kentucky market. He was promoted to the Wisconsin/Iowa market in 2016.
Tim says he is a Sneakerhead and has several pairs of sneakers. In August 2022, he started as a District Manager with Lori’s Gifts. He is part of the North Region and covers Wisconsin, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and the Memphis area. Tim is also part owner of the Green Bay Packers!

Shonda is always a pleasant face to see in the gift shop. She’s helpful and friendly. She is the only one at our location and we appreciate that she keeps our store open. Others have come and gone, but Shonda has been a consistent, positive presence. She knows what we like, and points out new items we’d be interested in purchasing.
