Irvine, Calif. - The Los Angeles Rams’ historic homecoming started out with an unblemished record in their first two preseason games in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Most recently, the Rams defeated the Kansas City Chiefs ,2120, in comeback fashion to improve to 2-0 in preseason action. The Rams offense has been steady and boasts the fifth-ranked rushing attack in the NFL through two preseason contests, averaging 139.0 yards per game on the ground. The unit is paced by RB Malcolm Brown who leads the NFL in preseason rushing yards, amassing 134 yards through two games and is averaging 6.7 yards per carry. Los Angeles defenders found their way into the Kansas City backfield as three different Rams defenders (DE Quinton Coples, and DTs Michael Brockers and Cam Thomas) recorded a sack against the Chiefs. In the two come-from-behind wins, the Rams defense has blanked their opponents in the second half of each of the contests, while the offense has added 28 second-half points. The Rams play their final two contests of the preseason on the road in a span of six days as they close out the exhibition slate against the defending World Champion Denver Broncos before heading to the Land of 10,000 Lakes to face the 2015 NFC North Champion Minnesota Vikings. This week’s contest kicks off a travel schedule that will log 36,896 sky miles between now and the start of the 2017 calendar year.
