Want your Career to Take Off? Become a Remote Drone Pilot! Use cutting-edge technology to follow your passion and land a job in this evolving market! The commercial remote pilot industry is growing, and licensed remote pilots are in high demand. Drone Pilots are making $32-39/hour in industries like filmmaking and advertising, public safety, agriculture, real estate, and commercial delivery. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) forecasts tremendous growth for remote pilots and the Association of Unmanned Vehicle Systems International expects more than 100,000 new jobs will be created by the year 2025. The Los Medanos College Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)/Drone Technology program will introduce you to the fascinating field of aeronautics, including: piloting; maintenance and preflight procedures; weather effects on flight performance; regulations; airport operations; and emergency procedures.
