GENERAL INFORMATION DEPOSITS AND FINAL PAYMENTS Los Verdes requires an initial deposit to reserve any date. The initial deposit will consist of 25% of the food & beverage minimum plus 25% of the ceremony fee, if applicable. Additional deposits will be outlined in your Event Contract. Deposits may be made with all major credit cards, cash or check. The final payment is due ten (10) days prior to the event date and may not be made with a personal check. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. 50% deposit is due for bookings within six months.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE MINIMUMS All events are required to meet a Food & Beverage Minimum Expenditure. Minimums may vary due to date or time of the event. Minimums do not include service charge, state sales tax, rental items or site fees. The requirements are quoted prior to booking the event and are stated in the Event Contract. A service charge of 23% (26% for all major holiday weekends) is applied to all food and beverage items and is taxable according to California Sales Tax Regulation 1603. For minimum requirements, please contact the Private Events Team.
EVENT HOURS For a Ceremony and Reception, six (6) hours of event time is provided. For a Reception only, five (5) hours are provided. On Saturdays (during peak season) either a 10am-3pm or 6pm-12am time slot is available. Sunday/Friday events have flexible start times. Overtime fee is $500 per hour and must be confirmed ten (10) days before event. Vendors are welcome to setup two hours prior to your event start time. Unfortunately, we do not have any storage areas to offer for personal use. You or your hired vendors will need to bring all items to the venue the day-of your event. All items need to be removed from the venue at the end of your event. We will not be able to store personal items for you. Los Verdes is not responsible for any items that are left behind.
FINAL GUEST COUNT & DEADLINE A minimum of 45 days prior to your event, a preliminary meeting should be scheduled to review your timeline, menus, linens, floor plan and package selections. For food ordering, staffing and billing purposes, the final guest count and all event selections are due no later than ten (10) days before the event and will not be subject to reduction. Requests for additional meals guaranteed later than ten (10) days will require Chef approval and may result in menu substitution. If you choose to offer your guests a choice of entrée, your guaranteed number of each entrée should be submitted (10) days prior to your event. An individual place card with your guests' predetermined entrée selection is required.
FOOD & CAKE TASTING As part of your planning process, you will be invited to attend a complimentary pre-wedding food tasting event. A variety of samples from our wedding menu will be offered. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer a tasting on every single menu item. The tasting is complimentary for two. Additional guests may be added at an additional rate of $40 per guest. If you would like your own private tasting, a cost of $150 for two is applied. Cake tastings are to be scheduled directly with the preferred bakeries: Torrance Bakery and Butter and Cream Bakery (Los Alamitos)
DAY OF WEDDING CEREMONY COORDINATOR A venue day-of wedding ceremony coordinator will be included with your package when you host a ceremony. Your ceremony coordinator will assist with the rehearsal and wedding ceremony (at Los Verdes). This does not include placing the ceremony programs, sign-in book, card box, escort cards, place cards,favors, champagne flutes and cake cutting set; as well as any other personal items not listed. For a full list of inclusions within our day-of ceremony coordinator services, please ask the Private Events Team. If you require additional planning services you may consider extending the services to also cover the reception coordination.
