Winter 2018
r five s How to survive with the un de
I am beyond excited and still can’t quite believe I am introducing myself to you all as the new editor of North Derbyshire Lots for Tots! As a Mum of 3 young children this magazine has literally been my life line and still continues to be. To be able to now write and share the magazine with you all is a dream. This edition takes us through the winter months into glorious spring. Living in Derbyshire we are perfectly poised for those beautiful winter walks to blow the cobwebs away, and enjoy the plethora of natural beauty spots the region has to offer. In this edition I am introducing a number of new companies to you, a shout out to Little Robin Photography who produced a beautiful front cover image and also have a beaut of an offer on for you all. ‘Forever Memories’ are a new and exciting company based in Matlock Bath offering a bespoke hand and foot casting service perfect for a Valentine’s or Mother’s Day gift keepsakes. There are also many amazing classes and events going on in the area to take your pick at including some get fit sessions for mum’s at ARC Leisure, Matlock. So Happy Mother’s Day Mammas (don’t forget anyone else) and I will see you all for the next edition out at Easter.

Tiger-Mama Baby Massage Highlighting the importance of touch in massage with your baby... Touch is a primary human need and massage has been used throughout history by parents to ease childbirth, assist in recovery and soothe babies. It’s a fantastic method for parents to learn and have 1-1 bonding time with their babies, who benefit developmentally and from the techniques learned. As a parent, it’s probably the first group you will join and meet other new parents within your area to form friendships with and compare notes. I love every moment
teaching Baby Massage watching first hand babies growing up into infants. We actually call ourselves a family. I believe in an inclusive environment which is friendly and fun for everyone. As a complementary therapist my knowledge, skills and experience are incorporated into the sessions to make this course unique, helping parents as well as their babies. Find me on Facebook @NurtureMe44
