The Summer Reading Challenge 2015 All Derby City Council Libraries The UK’s biggest reading event for children in libraries is back! The challenge is to read six books during the summer holidays. Laying the foundations for a bright future Derby High is pleased to announce that from January 2016 our Pre-School and Infant pupils will be housed in a brand new, purpose built infant school building on the Primary School site. Once completed, the new building will be two storeys high with eight classrooms, a hall and additional outside learning space.

Building work is currently underway with the children taking a huge interest in watching their new school emerge. Keen to get involved, the children have taken part in a ‘name the digger’ competition and each form at Derby High Primary has planted a hard hat hanging basket to brighten up the building site.
