Threatening Calls In the event of a threatening call, refer to Level 2 Emergency Procedures 1. Level 1 Emergencies These situations are: • Non-life threatening, • Require minimal response, and • Demand no immediate response from outside emergency service agencies Examples: Accidents (minor) Child Abuse (suspected) Communicable disease Cult activity Fighting Inclement weather Intruder/irate person Mechanical failure

Level 2 Emergencies These situations require higher state of emergency: • Demands support from outside evergency service agencies Examples: Assault Death of student/staff Field trip emergency Flooding Gang altercation Medical emergency Sever storm Tornado Utility failure Vehicle accident

Level 3 Emergencies These situations are critical, life-threatening: • Requires immediate support from outside emergency service agencies Examples: Attempted suidicide Bomb (suspicious device) Bomb (suspicious package) Chiuld abduction Death on campus Explosion Hostage situation Life threatening medical emergency Riot

Locking a door, barricading and/or tying off doors can delay an intruder.

If lock-out is not available, get out. Consider all exits and ground floor windows.

If lock-out and get-out fail or are not available, fight back using any available means. Do not give the intruder passive victims.
