The next logical thing we want to consider then is "How do you enable HTTPS" especially when you are checking e-mail and using Facebook - the two more common activities when you are online and using the internet. 1. Log into your Facebook account and at the page where you visit your own posts (method. your wall) select "Accounts" on the top right hand corner. 2. Then pick "Account Settings" on the drop down list. 3. Choose the "Security" tab on the left hand menu and 4. Click on "Secure Browsing". It should read "Secure Browsing Is Enabled". If that is the case, your setting is complete. You've got set your Facebook browsing to be safe. If you don't see “Secure Browsing Is Enabled" you can then 5. Select "Edit" and check the box alongside "Browse Facebook on a safe connection (HTTPS) when possible".

And that is all you need to do! Now whenever you log onto Facebook, you should be able to see a padlock using the words "HTTPS" at the tackle bar.

Log onto your Gmail account. Next select "Options" at the top proper corner From here select "Email Settings" in the drop-down list. Then click on the "General" tab. Scroll down until you see "Browser Connection". Here you will find 2 radio buttons. Select the one that says "Always Use HTTPS"

And voila! You are done. You are now set for secure browsing.
