POLISHING - Applying a good quality, wax based polish twice weekly will not only keep the upper leather supple but will protect it against the weather and maintain the appearance of the shoes. A GOOD REST - Allowing your shoes to rest for a day between wears allows the leather to relax, while using shoe trees helps them keep their shape and structure. TOP TIP If your shoes got a good soaking on the way home, allow them to dry naturally. This is best for the leather as it’s not forced to dry too quickly, which can result in damage to the finish.
