The Su Misura service begins with an in-depth consultation from one of our Master Tailors, professionally trained at Canali’s headquarters in Italy, who oversees the entire process from start to finish. Drawing on extensive experience, the Master Tailor identifies key concerns such as how and where each suit will be worn, and explains the full range of choices that are available to you.
There is a selection of over 500 seasonally updated fabrics to choose from, 80% of which are exclusive to Canali. The final choice, made together with the Master Tailor, will depend greatly on the purpose of the suit and on the season. There is also a multitude of other elements to consider, including buttons, belt loops, extra pockets and jacket length. These finishing touches offer a truly personalized and unique garment, distinguished even further by a label embroidered with the customer’s name.

The Fitting

A flawless fit is key to creating the perfect suit. To this end, Canali offers a selection of nine basic silhouettes to work from, each in a different cut and style. At the first fitting, the Master Tailor collects over 70 different measurements and alteration specifics, which are then stored centrally and securely and can be accessed, with HQ approval, from any Canali boutique the customer happens to be visiting worldwide.
The Order Su Misura suits are made in Canali’s stateof-the art facilities in Italy in a process that combines the latest machine technology and time-honored artisanal techniques. Many details, such as sleeves, labels and breast pockets, are stitched and finished entirely by hand. Within four to six weeks, the finished suit is delivered to the boutique, accompanied by a final fitting to make sure that the cut of the suit is nothing less than perfect.

At Louis Copeland & Sons we offer a personalised Made to Measure Service. Our sales executives will assist you through the entire design process, from colour and fabric choices right down to the type of stitch used.

THE PROCESS STEP I: THE APPOINTMENT Book an appointment in store with a fully trained member of our tailoring team who will guide you through the process. If you cannot make it to the store for your appointment we are more than happy to come to you to carry out your consultation.
STEP II: THE FITTING The process begins by establishing the perfect size and fit for you. Full measurements are taken by an experienced member of our team to ensure that your final garment is tailored specifically for you.
STEP III: THE DESIGN With advice from your assigned tailoring expert you can select the fabric, cut and style of your suit. Every detail from button selection and lining choice to lapel detailing is yours to decide. You can even have the inside pocket or under collar embroidered with something significant to you.
