Quest Player Quick Start Guide
Page
BSW Digital's QST software (QST) has been a proven leader in cutting-edge technology and reliability of LED Displays since 1992. Technology is great but not if it is so complex no one wants to use it. QST has developed an easy-to-use, full bodied software that makes using your LED Electronic Messages simple and fun. Take a few minutes to look over this Quick Start Guide now and spend less time trying to send messages to your LED sign when your business needs you most. This Guide is broken down into 3 basic blocks. The first block covers installation of the software on the same PC or laptop you are currently using to run your LED sign. The next block introduces you to each function available to you to create unique and eye catching ads for your LED sign. Finally, the last block will demonstrate the steps used to place text and graphics ads on your LED display. There is a companion User Manual for this software that will explore the more robust features of your Quest Player software. Things like scheduling, scrolling text, multiple windows and many other “must have features.

There are many parts needed to create a message and all of them are important. However, since this is actually a QUICK START GUIDE let’s jump right in and create a text message. The mechanics of why you do it this way and how can you do it quicker can be found in the User’s Manual. The most common messages used with LED Electronic Messaging Centers are primarily simple text messages. Displaying a TEXT message will require nearly all the same tools and techniques you would need to show a 30 second video! Once you have mastered text the other types of messages will flow more naturally.

Double click on the Quest Player (player) and the Quest Player (editor) Icons. Take a look at the panel on the bottom left of your screen. You will see New Machine and 3 other lines of text below that in a cascading array. The second line must show the Logo of your actual controller and the screen size in pixels. If this is incorrect then go back to Setting UP Quest Player (page ) and make any corrections necessary.
