Christmas Lights Switch On 30th Nov, 5.30pm. The Moor
Expect singing from Falmouth’s school children, festivities, and a lantern parade arriving on The Moor from Events Square for the Christmas Lights Switch On at 7pm. The children’s parade will be accompanied by Father Christmas himself. On The Moor there will be a great selection of Christmas food and drink, with music from local schools and community groups. This is the first of Falmouth’s late night shopping evenings when participating stores in the town will be open up until 8pm.

Christmas Tree Festival
3rd – 31st Dec, 5.30pm on the 3rd Dec (Grand Switch On) Princess Pavilion and Gyllyngdune Gardens
Grand Switch On. Starts at 5:30pm with the award winning St Mary’s School’s Choir singing on the bandstand. Grand light switch on at 6pm by Mayor Grenville Chappel, followed by a free carol concert by Illumination Brass in the Garden Room. Mince pies, hot chocolate and mulled cider available. Trees decorated by community groups and local schools, on display all December.

Christmas Movie on The Moor 8th Dec , 6pm. The Moor
Nothing beats getting into the Christmas spirit with a classic festive movie. We continue our tradition of screening events at The Moor in Falmouth this December with the family favourite, Elf! This will be a fun, festive experience for all ages – fancy dress or your best Christmas jumper is positively encouraged! We recommend you bring sensible clothing to help keep yourselves warm, if you want to bring cushions and blankets to make things more cosy – go ahead! Hot food will be available from a specially selected local vendor. The marquee will open at 6pm with the film starting at 6.30pm.

Falmouth Live Nativity
10th Dec, 1:15pm at Events Square. Procession leaves at 1:30pm Events Square through to the Moor
Free community event. Be part of the Nativity story. Follow Mary on her donkey led by Joseph who are looking for somewhere to stay, listen to a choir of angels and Gabriel telling the shepherds to follow the bright star. Join the wise men to find the stable on the Moor in the marquee, where Mary is cradling the baby Jesus surrounded by pens of animals. After, you can visit the Methodist Church opposite the marquee for free refreshments, children’s craft and face painting. Because there are lots of animals please leave dogs at home, they won’t be allowed in the marquee or Methodist Church. Thank you. Harmony Choir

The Harmony Choir raises money for good causes by performing throughout the town at Christmas. This Christmas will be the Harmony Choirs’ 118th performance and this Falmouth tradition is 117 years old. Even two world wars couldn’t stop the choir’s Christmas performance. The route begins at the Falmouth Watersports Centre and moves through town to finish on The Moor.
