RANDY BLASQUEZ FINE ART PAINTING
Brickletown, near Historic Downtown Truckee
RANDY BLASQUEZ Oil Randy is most often recognized for her California Landscapes, but she also enjoys painting florals, and she loves painting memories from her trips to France. Blasquez has been teaching for 10 years in the Sacramento area, at her Truckee Studio, and in Europe. Today she finds that she loves teaching as much as painting. Randy Blasquez has a style that reflects the lineage of Russian Impressionism, from the great master Ilya Ripen to Sergei Bongart. Initially Randy was influenced by her studies with artist and teacher, Anita Wolff, who was a student of the colorful Russian Impressionist, Sergei Bongart. This led her to study with French born plein air artist Brigitte Curt, and then with Ovanes Berberian. Berberian had also apprenticed under the tutelage of Sergei Bongart. Bongart was a graduate of the Russian Academy of Arts in Kiev who painted and studied with Peter Kotov whom himself was a student of the famous master Ilya Ripen. Memberships: Oil Painters of America, California Art Club, American Impressionist Society, American Women Artists

SUSAN BLOOM OIL ON CANVAS
Brickletown, Near Downtown Truckee
Susan Bloom Oil on Canvas Susan has always been interested in art. Even in her first days as a young girl living on her parent’s dairy, she found beauty in nature. She always loved art first: before college, before roaming thru’ Europe & Africa, before raising her daughter, before becoming a top skiwear representative, there was always time to do something creative. She has studied art her entire life and has done everything from jewelry to pottery and now painting. Surrounded by all of Tahoe’s beauty she was drawn to “plein air” oil painting…the art of painting the landscape around you. This entails keeping up with the constant changing light and all the challenges the environment brings with it. Her colors are from nature and the beauty she sees around her. Susan paints mostly in the field but when she wants to paint big she resorts to painting inside her studio. She has taken many classes and workshops but admits she is mostly self -taught. Susan paints exclusively in oil.

Mixed Media – Neo Modernism
Olympic Heights Studio
Meg Martin Mixed Media – Neo Moderism Meg Martin (formerly known as Meg Matteson) is a Neo-modern mixed media artist who focuses in mixed media painting, printmaking and collage, as well as glass and ceramics. A Tahoe native, born and raised, Meg finds inspiration in nature. Meg is a self-proclaimed “obsessive pattern maker” and employs classic techniques like embroidery and beading applique into her canvases. Her process tends to encompass many layers of applications (between paint, print, collage) that result in intricate detail and pieces that beg to be pondered (and touched).
An artist for life, Meg was inspired to be creative at an early age from her artist mother (Janet Martin) and her grandmother (Peg Mees). Meg graduated in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in Art (concentration in painting) from Saint Xavier University, in Chicago, IL. After finishing school, she exhibited in Sacramento, CA but had been out of the fine arts loop for a few years in order to pursue a career in Nursing. Meg graduated in April of 2010 with a degree in nursing and then in May of 2011 with a Master’s degree in Nursing. She is currently an Interventional Radiology nurse at Methodist Hospital, in Sacramento, CA.
