Clifton Recycling has nearly doubled their business over the last six years.
"It's a testament to what can happen when companies work together," says owner Randy Reynolds.
Moving Mountains of Mulch across CNY
Randy Reynolds with Clifton recycling has been moving mountains for over 30 years. Clifton Recycling, Incorporated (CRI) is a locally owned and operated business that started in 1991, focused on snow removal. Their specialty today? Manufacturing wood mulch. This has developed and expanded into several other profitable areas of business.
CRI now provides landscaping materials, tub grinding green waste and various types of material trucking and equipment hauling. They service a broad range of customers from homeowners to large municipalities. When you're growing a small business, you need to surround yourself with strong partners. "We started out with one truck and have grown
to a fleet of over thirteen trucks plus over twenty pieces of large equipment. We've gone to several banks over the years, " says Randy.
"When we sat down with Seneca, it felt very comfortable and family-oriented. They were always willing to talk with us, give us their outlook and push us in the right direction. " "Randy and I met almost twenty years ago, " says Angelo Testani, SR VP of Commercial Lending at Seneca Savings.
"Over the years, he's needed to expand, acquire more equipment. So we came up with a plan to help him. Randy has stuck to that plan and knows we're with him every step of the way. " Every small business owner understands when you're in business long enough, there are bound to be potholes.
"Seneca has always been there for our growth over the years. They've been here this last year when things were tough, they've always been supportive, " says Randy. When you're moving mountains, mulch or any other... you don't have to do it alone.
