Being a market is also a kind of hierarchy in the area, a focal point of the community , being able to be distinguish itself by the unchanging façade and rigid form for many decades. Operating hours on daily basis varying from time and crowd, 6am to 2pm/ more(earlier) or less(later). That being said, during study of the market we keep asking the same key question in order to understand the culture and events happening at the site, noticing that market are facing issues and as time pass the crowd are also decreasing, affecting the market

After the study of the site, in a team of 10 mixing and blending in different suggestion and idea, collaborating together to express the studies through the prototype and final prototype model. “A f o c a l p o i n t o f c o m m u n i t y ” The main idea for the montage is to make audience understand through viewing and interacting experience. Group montage orchestrating to show activities and the real time situation & condition of the current existing building. Same time explaning from the history to the habit of the market. PROJECT II : DESIGN STRATEGY

From project 1, we are to expand research into architecture design strategies. Design strategies are means of exploring, experimenting and testing out ideas and concepts. We are to produce series of models and sketches/drawings towards the end of this project 2, while not having a fixed outcome of what you should be proposing. This stage required intensive exploration of site context, building a n d s p a c e i n p a p e r.

In the exercise for photo montage, we are require to take a part of building of choice and express the uniqueness of it. In my photo montage, I want to emphasize the uniqueness of the Chinese Heritage building located in Chinatown of Kuala Te r e n g g a n u a n d h o w part of it contribute the extension for promoting tourism and preserving the town.
