continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within the Montreal community.
We live our motto, Non Nobis Solum —Not for Ourselves Alone, every day. This means instilling a sense of responsibility and accountability in our students so that they have the chance to make a difference in the lives of others. Service is a central tenet of the LCC experience, helping students to mature, develop empathy and learn about the role they play in a global society.
Established in Montreal in 1909, LCC is gender-inclusive,a K–12 university preparatory school, committed to excellence in teaching and learning. We strive to create an inclusive learning environment that reflects the diverse world in which we live, representing a variety of backgrounds and experiences, and allowing students to broaden their perspectives.

LCC’s Junior School is a nurturing environment where ideas, inspiration and stimulation abound. The first years of a child’s education are critical in establishing a love for learning and ensuring future success as a student. From kindergarten through grade 6, children are immersed in a bilingual academic program that allows them to explore their creativity, cultivate their imaginations and discover their potential. The focus is on building the foundations for lifelong learning through the ongoing development of critical thinking, communication, and social and self-management skills. Reading comprehension, writing structure and fostering creativity are priorities, as are the development of basic mathematical concepts and their application to real-life situational problems.
A WARM, SAFE & ENVIRONMENTWELCOMING
At the very heart of LCC’s philosophy is the creation of an atmosphere in which each child can thrive. Since children of different age groups have their own abilities and needs, LCC is divided into four distinct divisions—Junior School, Middle School, Senior School & Pre-University—each with its own physical space, small class sizes, and designed to ensure the academic, social, emotional and physical development of the students.

SCHOLARSHIPS & FINANCIAL AID
In the province of Quebec, access to English schooling is governed by the provisions in Bill 115. This means that English schools receiving grants from the government can only accept students who have English eligibility. LCC does not receive government grants for its elementary school, however it does receive partial funding for its high school. Contact the Admissions Office for more information.
We believe that all students should have access to an LCC education regardless of their financial circumstances and offer assistance to qualified students in grades 7–12 who have a demonstrated need.
